very nice hotelPosted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: the character, style, and grandeur, also the whiskey bar is well stocked.
Cons: the limited selection of food
Location: location was perfect as for things to do in the area I have no idea.
this hotel is like an old mansion house all wood and chandeliers, but the food is quite limited and on the expensive end.

Weekend breakPosted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: The pleasant staff who were obviously well trained. The gardens and the old part of the house which was well kept and maintained.
Cons: The two bedrooms were saw were tired and could do with a bit of a make over.
Location: Ardho House , Aberdeen. We visited NTS castles, Drum and Craigievar Castle which were a delight. We also spent a few hours in Aberdeen
Lovely old building with an obvious modern extension. Public areas lovely, staff attentive, well mannered and helpful. We were let down by the first room we were offered has it smelled of damp and the bedroom carpet was wet. The shower had leaked. Front of house staff quickly and easily changed our room , which was pleasant but a bit tired but clean. The bed was very comfortable so we slept well even though there was two weddings and other functions on at the hotel we were pleasantly surprised not to be disturbed by any noise. At breakfast time we were spoiled for choice and we enjoyed our breakfast. We would come back and stay as the area has lot to offer with beaches and history all within an easy drive from Ardho House.

bit run down but food goodPosted May 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
Our hotel room was a bit worn and could of been cleaner. We had to request a room change as the first room offered was of a poor standard with marks on the wall. We had a bar meal which was nice and the breakfast was very good.

Pros: The outside. The breakfast was good.
Cons: non-preferred rooms (even though we paid for Preferred)
Location: Out of the city. about 7 miles to town.
The outside of the hotel is beautiful!! Stunning!! However, we booked a preferred room they put us in the regular rooms. The rooms in that are not so good. They could use some upgrading. (noticeable holes in the walls, no hot water) When we showed them that they made a mistake on our room they credited us about $25?? It is out a ways and for the price I would have stayed in the city. Don't let the outside get you!

Stunning location, extremely helpful and caring staff. Exceptional standard of room and service. Spa had a wide variety of pampering treatments and packages. Food was first Class. A most wondering stay.
