Character Hotel

Posted Jul 22, 2014
The Whitehall hotel is within walking distance of Aberdeen City Centre. The hotel is in converted apartments that are all very reminiscent of the old Scotland. The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. We enjoyed the location, the laundry facilities and the parking. The breakfast was good. Unfortunately the hotel doesn't have elevators but provide all the help you need with your luggage.

Comfortable hotel in downtown Aberdeen

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Cons: Elevators -- had lots of luggage. However, did have bellmen to help.
Location: Wonderful restaurants, city parks, beach nearby. WALKABLE location to everything!
Enjoyed our stay at the Skene House Whitehall. It was walkable to all the Aberdeen downtown parks and restaurants! Rooms were large and very clean. Wish there had been elevators though to our third floor room. Comfortable lounge for guests to relax in. Staff was helpful.

lovely apartment and welcoming staff

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: space, staff.
Cons: water in fridge would be great.
We stayed for one night in an apartment which was very comfortable. There was a cafetiere ,real coffee and fresh milk. The complimentary drink in the bar and the bottle of wine was a nice touch. Breakfast was a bit chaotic but one member of staff saved the day. We will be back!

Central with great facilities

Posted Jun 30, 2014
More independence than a hotel but with the same facilities and the free parking was a bonus too. Within walking distance of all the amenities of the city centre but quiet- we loved it and would definitely go back.

Good location and great staff

Posted Jun 14, 2014
Pros: Location and staff.
Cons: Bigger bathroom and quality of pillows.
Location: Lots to do. In the heart of Aberdeen and close to shops and restaurants.
The location of the hotel is excellent and very central. We had a 2 bedroom apartment that was quite spacious in all respects bar the bathroom which was miniscule albeit the bath towels were plentiful, large and soft. The decor was a bit dated but that didn't worry us very much. The pillows were not at all comfortable and also the acoustics between the floors was poor and I was kept awake by noise in the apartment above me for several hours. The staff made up for the shortcomings and were very polite, knowledgeable and helpful.

Massive Suites

Posted Jun 9, 2014
We were genuinely surprised by the size of the suites. Ours had three bedrooms, two baths, a lounge and a full kitchen. The concierege was very helpful as well. While the total bill was high, it was very good value for money.

Great boutique hotel

Posted May 25, 2014
Pros: Free breakfast, good facilities, free wifi, parking and good location.
Cons: Cooling required on warm days on the third floor
Location: Near the Main Street where there are plenty of restaurants and bars. William Wallace statue about 10 mins walk away., opposite His Majestys Theatre.
Good location near Main Street of Aberdeen. Nice old building with comfortable rooms, including own cooking facilities. We had the continental breakfast only, which was included, but it was very good. Our only issue was the fact we were up on the third floor and the room was so hot, it was hard to sleep. It was sort of like a hot attic. Also there was no lift so it was quite a way to haul our bags. However, it was still a good stay.
