Great location

Posted Mar 16, 2014
Pros: The location is fantastic. The staff was very nice too.
Cons: The rooms are very generic. A coat of paint might also be necessary.
Location: Union mall, union street, pubs and restaurants nearby.
Close to the train station, bus station, and Union Street. Nice restaurants and pubs near by.

Near train and bus station

Posted Feb 18, 2014
Busy area near bus, train station and museums. The only thing that for me doesn't give them a 5 is not having free wifi. This is no longer a commodity but a necessity for your clients. Great food on the restaurant.

Hotel with good central location but.....

Posted Feb 2, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Standard of care both in staff attitude to customer needs and presentation of rooms. Ripped curtains are not acceptable
Location: Close to train and bus stations, shopping centre and cinema
I booked room for my father who is 83. He was allocated room on top floor and hotel has no lift. When we arrived staffff made no effort to find alternative when I enquired about lift and there were a lot of stairs. The curtains in the room had two large rips in them which is not an acceptable level of housekeeping! When state of curtains reported to reception there was no attempt to remedy or find alternative room.

Slightly expensive, good location, beware no lift

Posted Jan 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
Nicely positioned near the middle of town the hotel was recently decorated (my room smelled strongly of paint) and was in quite good condition although some of the furniture looks a little tired. The only down side was the lack of lift which didn't bother me but some people may struggle to carry their cases up to the third floor. A little expensive for what it is, but that seems to come with the territory.

OK for a comfy bed for a night

Posted Dec 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were just looking for a bed for an overnight stay and it did the job fine. We would stay there again. The only real negative - not within the control of the hotel management - was looking out of the window down to the side street below and seeing rubbish strewn everywhere!

Horrible

Posted Dec 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
Worst "Hotel" in Aberdeen been in better B&B. No hot water for shower in the morning just as well as shower would not drain away. No facilities in hotel. No breakfast facilities. Did not feel safe as security is poor and hotel is in bad part of town. (next to docks) Twice went to front desk 5am & 5.30am but no one available. night reception was on house keeping duties.

Just don't expect too much

Posted Dec 6, 2013
Location: Central location
Staff is friendly but not everyone's English is great. Room was large but only had a cheap little electric heater plugged into the wall because the main one was broken, so took ages to warm up. Restaurant food is mediocre and not many vegetarian options. The juice had gone bad and some sort of a fruit for breakfast would have been nice. Then again, everyone in Aberdeen knows what they get when staying here.

the most horrible experience.

Posted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: location was ok
Cons: customer service, room comfort, and room cleaniness
the most horrible experience- very very very dirty. just one small soap bar- no shampoo - towels yellowish, floor with hair all over the place- bed dirty.. very unpleasant experience- one of the front desk staff moved me to another room, and she got in trouble. next day, they made my life miserable- very rude...
