Cosy MarinerPosted Dec 20, 2012 on Hotels.com
The Mariner is a great little hotel with soul and atmosphere. The bar is like your friendly local with the excellent restaurant if you want something more formal. Breakfast is great, especially if you like them hearty! Staff are always courteous and helpful and nothing seems to be too much trouble. If there has to be a criticism I would say that the breakfast staff could do with starting earlier rather than taking over from night shift porter. I will cntinue to book the Mariner for my stays in Aberdeen.

Mighty MarinerPosted May 22, 2012 on Hotels.com
I've always liked staying here and Internet booking capability now makes it easier. Large rooms, fantastic breakfast and attentive staff. Though the walk from town always seems longer on the way home........

Independent hotel in pleasant residential areaPosted Apr 16, 2012 on Hotels.com
Handy for the A90, but only 15 minutes walk from Union Street/ Holburn. Situated in a quiet, pleasant residential area, the west-end of Aberdeen. The quietest rooms are at the back, overlooking the car-park. The suites on the top floor are the best rooms, very spacious indeed - more like staying in your own apartment, but cheaper than other serviced apartments in Aberdeen. The accomodation and service are good, but not quite as high-end as The Atholl. However, the price reflects this. If the Atholl is a bit pricey, the Mariner is a good alternative for you.
