“We will stay there again”

Spent one night while in Abilene for a ballgame. Checking in and out was easy and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was OK. Bake-your-own waffles are a nice addition and the pastries were good. The computer in the lobby area was not accessing the internet but I did not ask whether this is an ongoing problem.

“Convenient”

The location is close to the freeway and the service amicable. The room wasn't bad either.

We get this hotel mostly for the price. It is clean and in a good location. A good enough place to lay your head for the night. It is good that it does include a continental breakfast.

“Standard rooms but went the extra mile in one regard.”

Nothing special about the room. It was cool and that was important as Abilene can get hot. The fridge kept our drinks nice and cold as I don't think they had an ice machine. Had to take the cover off the light over the sink and tweak the bulbs to get them to come on bright and the iron and ironing board were missing. BUT... one of us left a favorite pair of shoes. Not expensive shoes. Flip-flops really. AND when a family member went back days later. They still had them. That kind of service is no longer expected and very appreciated. Thanks!

“I'd stay there again.”

My only complaint with this hotel was that the telephone in my room would not dial out. They tried to fix it, but ultimately, they had to wait for the phone company to come out. I don't have a cell phone so this was very inconvenient. The bed was very comfortable. I slept better than I do some nights at home. The hotel wasn't great, but the the price was right. It filled my need for an inexpensive place to spend a couple of nights on a quick weekend trip.

“Good restful night”

The staff was very helpful and friendly, both when I checked in and at breakfast. The facility is older but in good repair. I arrived along with a group of dogs for a Dog Show. I was not distrubed by any dog noises. The WiFi worked, the shower water flowed well and it drained good. If I go back through Abilene and need to spend the night, I will try to book a room at the Days Inn again. But will not eat at the Mexican restaurant behind the hotel as the Rellano tasted like fish.

Beds were extremely uncomfortable and rather noisy. Not very clean.

Overall, the hotel was in okay condition for the $50 some dollars for the night. One night in the hotel was okay, bed was comfortable, but I would not have considered staying there for more than one night. Service at the hotel front desk was fantastic. Also, make sure to bring conditioner, because all they had available for shampoo.
