Room 18

Posted Oct 16, 2014
The inn should be embarrassed to rent the two rooms by the highway. They are the cheapest and boy are they ever cheap!! We checked out early. Construction going on right outside our door. Highway noise is loud we had to turn on the air cond fan to drown out the noise. The only good thing was the restaurant, the food was very good.

Only hotel in Abiquiu

Posted May 14, 2014
Pros: The restaurant was very good and prices were reasonable.
Cons: The air conditioners in the rooms are very loud
Location: Georgia Okeeffe's haunts are beautiful. Be sure to see the Bosshard Gallery in Abiquiu, the Plaza Blanca, and the Echo Amphitheater. Bode's too.
The staff of the hotel and restaurant were great. The grounds are beautiful with large cottonwood trees and nice gardens. The rooms in the rear of the large property are quieter than the ones near the highway. Ask for a room that faces the ranch behind the hotel.

Very Small Room

Posted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: The room and its amnenities.
Good location for the area and one of the staff helped us with directions. But the room was the smallest in which we have ever stayed. Barely room to fit our luggage and only one lamp for the bed. Water took a long time to get even warm. When I asked another staff person about the pictures that we had from their web page, she then explained that the nice pictures were for the nicer rooms, not the economy (cheap) room that we were given. Including tax the room was $131 for one night.

A lovely hotel and a friendly and helpful staff

Posted Apr 22, 2014
Our room was very nicely decorated. It was larger than most that I stay in. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. The food in the restaurant there was excellent. The staff was welcoming, helpful and very friendly.

Nice secluded hotel with a decent restaurant

Posted Apr 8, 2014
We had room number 24 which is at the back of the property, with two double beds (not queens!). Nicely decorated, good sized room but very cold in winter unless you have the heat going constantly! We ate in the café - food was good and portions modest, especially for the US. As mentioned by others, be aware that they cannot sell alcohol on a Sunday! Breakfast was also good (not included) but I'd expect real maple syrup somewhere like this, not the fake stuff. Definitely recommended for a night or two if you're on the road/touring the area.

Weekend away

Posted Nov 8, 2013
Pros: The setting is what I liked.
Cons: It was perfect, no improvements needed
Location: Santa Fe was close so we ended up there
We satyed two days at the Abiquiu inn. The stay was nice. What I liked the Kiva fireplace because it was flip of the switch and the flame was on. It kept the room nice and cozy. The back door opened up to a court yard which is nice too. I enjoyed the restaurante with their home made strawberry tea and good food and service.
