“Excelent location and only a 4 minute walk to the Piazza and il concorso”

Hotel is old and well kept, the morning breakfast is sufeciant but not great. people are there to please you and do speack english. Just a great location.

“Lovely hotel directly in the centre of town”

This is our first time in L'Aquila and we decided to choose a hotel with a central location. We asked for a room with a view and were allocated a large room with a fantastic bathroom and a balcony on two sides of the room with a view over the mountains which was fantastic. Considering the central location the noise at night was minimal and we discovered that the hotel has a lovely bar in the foyer and they are most welcoming. We would definitely return to this hotel.

“Excellent location in an underrated town”

Just a few hundred metres from the Piazza del Duomo and the heart of L'Aquila. It's not the easiest hotel to find without satnav or asking directions, despite it's town centre location. We've stayed there twice now, and would happily do so again. Downside is probably the restaurant - there are better ones in town, particularly the unpretentious family run Trattoria del Rino near the Duomo. This is a lovely, untouristy area of Italy, and the Grand is a good base for this region.
