nice hotel bu can be better

Pros: location
Cons: spa, swimming pool, beach.. some of the staff need training the rest are great
Location: sheikh zayed mosque 5 minutes by car cafes, restaurant walking distance
nice hotel and location, the swimming pool ok the spa not up to the 5 stars standards.. room has nice view .. the beach is terrible

Amaazing hotel. Just one issue . The gloss tiles outside The shower Mean that With wet Feet. Its easy to slip, beside that, 5/5 for This place!!!!

Not as good as the first time

Pros: The lobby is nice. It is an easy walk to the souk. The view of the Grand Mosque is fantastic. Simon in reception was thoughtful, as were all staff.
Cons: The floor in the room was not clean. The pool was too warm. The sink wouldn't drain, toilet took several flushes, and there was not enough water.
Location: Lots of things (Grand Mosque, water sports, souk) are convenient.
I returned to the Fairmont Bab Al Bhar in May of 2015 hoping to relive the lovely experience I had there in the fall of 2011. I was disappointed. The condition of the hotel did not match the memories I had of it. The floors in the room were not clean. There were only 2 bottles of water in a room for 2 in Abu Dhabi. There was no fruit to greet me as there had been in 2011. :( The sink stopper did not work. The toilet did not flush properly. However,the service personnel were friendly and responsive to my requests to bring water, fix the sink etc... I would think that a hotel of this caliber and cost would have already taken care of these things, and I would not have to spend my vacation time calling for service.

Spacious hotel complex with large pool area

Large pool area with a few activities for kids (toddler pool, table tennis, trampoline). Generally good service and friendly staff although sometimes the waiters came across too eager to push certain food / drink packages. Good pool and a man-made beach. Unlikely to swim in the sea area as it is more like a harbour than an ocean. Food is expensive across the city and there are very limited options without transport from the hotel. Good for 2 or 3 night stop-over, not sure if I'd stay for a week. Breakfast is of a good standard on a buffet basis, but pricey - as is the special 4 hour brunch one day at the weekend. Refrigerator has little space for own food/drinks. Views across to the Mosque are very pleasant.

Sehr angenehmes Hotel an schöner Lage

Eigentlich alles sehr gut. Zimmer, Service, Umgebung. In einem solchen Hotel sollte man für den Internetzugang nicht extra zahlen müssen.
