Hotel closed.

Pros: Great pool area, I think this hotel would be ideal for families with small kids.
Took us about 3 hours to finally find this hotel. No sign, no nothing. Tried to call the hotel, no answer. Guess what, it's closed! Per the restaurant personnel next to the hotel, it has been closed for repairs for quite sometime. We were redirected to its sister facility Grand Mayan, who then directed us to "its" sister facility, Mayan Palace. After 4 hours, we finally made it to the hotel. Our stay there was nice, great pool area, great staff, small but nice room. My only complaints are the parking here. You literally have to walk 1/2 a mile from a dirt patch empty lot to make it to the hotel. Also the pool closes at 8:00pm which is really early, especially in Acapulco, where at 800pm it's still like 88-90F and there where still alot of people in the pool. This place is really hidden and far away for anything. If your looking for night activities here, good luck. The restaurant closes at 1000pm and you will have to go to its sister facility for other activities or about 10-20miles away to downtown Acapulco.

We had reservations at the Ocean Breeze in Acapulco. Our hotel actually ended up being closed and no one told us before hand, which was a little frustrating. We got a little nervous about that but they brought us to the Grand Mayan and they honored the original price. The hotel was amazing and better than our original reservation. Will definitely book with hotels.com again!!

Awesomeness except for Location

I literally cannot complain of the hotel, their service, cleanliness, and activities except for the location. It's located too far away of any bays and the one that they have available, is open sea and not safe for my four year old. Other than that, AWESOME.

The Sea Garden was not completted with the remodeling so we were able to continue our stay in the Mayen Palace.

Pros: open spaces and great attitude of service
Cons: close to the beach, but not in.
Location: best place in Diamante zone
we were upgraded, based on the high ocupancy of this hotel experience was greate.

We were going to a wedding and the hotel was great for us because of the location, besides that hotel was clean, good service, etc. We were not able to use all the amenities in the hotel but overal we had a good experience and would return in the future.

Not a beachfront hotel

Great hotel, I had an awesome time. But it's NOT a beachfront hotel. It's a five minute walk from the beach, which is great, but I expected it to be ON the beach.
