“Hotel with some reservations”

This hotel was difficult for our driver to find -- and he was from the area. I hestitate to be critical of this hotel, because it employs area residents and that's a good thing. The service was painfully slow -- fortunately, we had time to wait and wait we did for every meal. The internet service was also very slow and at least half the time I couldn't connect. The pool is lovely, but I didn't come to Africa to work on my tan. The day we arrived a band played in the area around the pool. The noise level was over the top making sleep impossible. Twice I went to complain. About 10:30 they stopped playing. The staff was helpful and secured a driver to take me to the post office and to the airport when we left. I bought a couple of items in their gift shop and was pleased I had especially when I saw the same items at the airport for four or five times what I had paid in their gift shop.

The hotel room was spacious and comfortable and meals very good. The staff was accomodating, friendly and helpful. The ocean view was fine althought the local beach was in parts dirty (no swimming). This hotel is about 30+ minutes from the airport and too far from the city if daily visits are needed (particularly with Accra traffic congestion). As a get away, it is a good value and I plan to return.

As it was informed in internet the hotel is closed to the main city facilities, but in really it is situated in the slum too far from the centre of Accra city. It took us 40 minutes to reach the hotel on Sunday time. It means that it will take to anybody to reach the centre of the city something around 2-3 hours during working days because of the rush hours. That is why we didn't stay in that hotel. May be it is comfortable, but too far. Not for business
