Very good stay

Posted Nov 4, 2014
Very helpful staff, was able to leave my large suitcase at hotel whilst away on trip up country, and met by minibus on return. (not easy as taxis and minibuses have to wait in car park for security reasons.)

first class service

Posted Nov 4, 2014
Cons: WiFi in the rooms is poor, I think this must be related to the layout of the rooms upstairs. It was not a problem as the wife downstairs was excellent
Location: Jupiter Cazanchis is very central, children's parks nearby and you can by a day pass for the Hilton pool and children's area plus minigolf
Having been to Addis before and stayed elsewhere I was pleasantly surprised with the service at the Jupiter in Cazanchis. Excellent staff service, very good English spoken, helpful porters and door staff who will call you a taxi and negotiate the price. The rooms are very comfortable and the towels are thick - always my personal test of a good hotel! This is a business hotel, so no outside space, but comfortable lounge and bar area with bar food and good wifi, and excellent restaurant on the mezzanine. Breakfast amazing, lots of choice for all tastes and daily baked muffins and croissants available from 6 am, so was able to have some before leaving for an early flight. The airport transfer service proved very reliable. The Jupiter has a back up generator, so the daily power cut was not problem. I would definitely stay there again.

Very good location

By far the best for money hotel near ECA/United Nations. Absolutely worth every penny. Excellent location, if you stay for a week or so you could easily avoid even using taxis which are headache in Addis.

That was one of the best hotels in what concerns guest relations with the staff members, ...they even surprised me with a very nice Birthday cake reminding me with my Birthday ..I am very much appreciating their nice attitude to guests

Beautiful hotel, within walking distance from ECA.

Posted Jun 1, 2014
Pros: Beautiful and spacious rooms, complimentary bottles of water, ironing board and iron, courteous staff
Cons: 1. Hotel should have a copy of international dialling cides at the front desk since switchboard closes in the evening. 2. Negotiate taxi fares
Location: Hotel well located for what I wanted to do
Hotel should negotiate taxi rates to popular destinations within the city with cab drivers and not leave it to clients to do so.

Yes, we agree that taxi drivers in Addis can be difficult. That is why we encourage our guests to consult our front desk before they go out to catch a cab. As you mentioned UNECA and other UN agencies, as well as Government offices are within walking distance

This hotel has nice product design, but there seem to have been some craftsmanship problems in construction as several things were broken or sloppily repaired. This was not a big problem though. Also, I was not able to get a smoke free room. So it was pretty good, but not great. The bed was very comfortable and looked expensive and nice.

A well priced good option

Posted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: Well located, comfortable rooms, good service and yummy breakfast
Cons: The decor was quite dated, give it a few more years and it will be cool
The airport pickups and drop offs were smooth and efficient, the room was comfortable (though dated), the service was good, as was the breakfast.
