Beautiful hotel, within walking distance from ECA.Posted Jun 1, 2014
Pros: Beautiful and spacious rooms, complimentary bottles of water, ironing board and iron, courteous staff
Cons: 1. Hotel should have a copy of international dialling cides at the front desk since switchboard closes in the evening. 2. Negotiate taxi fares
Location: Hotel well located for what I wanted to do
Hotel should negotiate taxi rates to popular destinations within the city with cab drivers and not leave it to clients to do so.

A well priced good optionPosted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: Well located, comfortable rooms, good service and yummy breakfast
Cons: The decor was quite dated, give it a few more years and it will be cool
The airport pickups and drop offs were smooth and efficient, the room was comfortable (though dated), the service was good, as was the breakfast.

Jupiter is a nice hotel at a much a much more reasonable price than other nice hotels in Addis. Definitely a great choice.

Clean and comfortable with friendly staffPosted Apr 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
The staff at the Jupiter were awesome. They were friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The location was convenient if you have business in the area. It was located about a 5 minute taxi from the National Museum and about 10 min taxi to great local shopping. The area around the hotel is under construction but in a few months when things are complete I think there will be more to walk to. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was consistent wifi during my entire stay. I had to travel several times to and from the airport and they offered their free shuttle every time. The gym facilities were an added bonus.

Great Hotel for Business UsersPosted Mar 13, 2013
Pros: The Staff - superb.
Cons: See above
This hotel is very central and excellent for business travellers, who form the vast majority of its clients. For tourists I would not recommend it for more than 1 or 2 (at most) night's stay. It has no garden or terrace, no shop, no swimming pool, no coffee shop, no lounge and nowhere to sit except a very gloomy lobby/bar area full of people using lap tops. For tourists spending a few days in Addis I would recommend the Hilton (more expensive) or the Ghion (less) both have super gardens, shops, tourist information, coffee shops and the Hilton has a swimming pool. However, in neither instance are the staff better than the Jupiter

Hotel for business trip in Addis AbabaPosted Nov 29, 2012
Pros: The staff was really friendly
Cons: Internet access
Location: Very close to UNECA / AU complex - I walked there and back every day - 10 minutes
The oOnly problem I had was that the internet access was not consistent - especially on the floor I was (it seems in the lobby it was OK so one could go there, but that is not convenient)

Great service, very pleasantPosted Nov 16, 2012 on Hotels.com
Staff where very helpful. Rooms immaculate. Airport shuttle is a great feature and saves you having to deal with the local cabbies. Not a ton to do right by the hotel but easy enough to get around from there and the staff can point you in the right direction.

OK for businessPosted Sep 22, 2010
The hotel is newish and in reasonable condition, it has a decent lobby bar and a restaurant. My room was rather dark, lighting was dim and the bed hard, but I slept OK. There is lots of construction going on around the hotel, much of it pretty close and resulting in blocked light. However within a few mins walk there is the Intercontinental (looked rather dead) and the Lime Tree Cafe, which was pretty good. Hotel had free wifi at a reasonable speed. Breakfast a rather uninspired buffet, adequate but not exceptional. On the Thursday there was jazz, which was pretty good. If you are on business its not a bad choice.
