“Very pleased”
Very conveniently located for my main purpose (re: Adelaide Oval) and very well maintained.
“Adelaide business hotel”
Everything was fine. Furniture in room was a bit old and worn. Room was quiet, clean and tidy. Staff where excellent, location is excellent.
“Great location, older property”
Located in downtown Adelaide, this hotel was perfectly located for shopping on Rundle Mall, City Market and lots of small cafes. Well-maintained older property. Very quiet. Decent size rooms. Parking isn't convenient -- located several blocks away -- but is available for $10 day.
“bon hotel”
bonnes prestation en centre ville
“A good place to stay”
Our first impression of this hotel was not great as it looked a bit tired. However, it turned out to be a very comfortable hotel in a good location. The restaurant in the lobby served excellent food with great service and overall the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay The laundry in the lower level was appreciated.
“Great location”
Right in the heart of Adelaide. Great location and reasonable price. Excellent value.
“Good hotel, convenient location”
The hotel lobby is very well maintained and has a lovely ambiance and character. It is an older hotel and the rooms reflect that. They could probably use some updating but it was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and everything was in working order. The charges for using the internet were confusing and when we got our final bill, the charges for internet usage were significantly more than expected. Our room was clean when we checked in but the housekeeping staff did not clean our bathroom as good as it should have been. The quality of the food in the restaurant was excellent and we were treated very nicely. I will be returning to Adelaide in about a year and I will stay at the Grand Chancellor on Currie, if available.
“ok for 1 night”
convenient location, helpfull staff
“Good Hotel”
The hotel is good and the rooms are spacious. Building is old, but the inside is well renovated. Its only problem is that the door is a couple of steps inside a small sketchy street; nothing to worry about probably, but the center of Adelaide is deserted after 9pm, so turning into a dark alley does not make you feel comfortable My main complain with the hotel is that they have contracted an internet service that charges by the minute, so it can be expensive
“ok for a short stay”
some problems with the AC (made some strange noises in 1/2 hour intervals; staff very friendly and helpful and room ok for what you pay
