REASONABLE HOTEL, CLOSE TO THE CITY

Posted Mar 29, 2014
Pros: The staff; its position; the café on site; the air conditioning in the room; the décor in the room.
Cons: The general décor and condition. Breakfast. Cleanliness. The beds not very comfortable.
Location: Adelaide CBD and markets, walking distance. Glenelg - pubs, shops, restaurants, 15 mins. Barossa Valley wineries 1hr 20. Hahndorf, 35 mins.
Hotel in need of refurbishment. The doona was badly stained and had to be replaced (yuk!). Room was fairly clean; windows dirty, lighting not good. Staff were on the whole, very pleasant and helpful. The on-site café was dated but the menu was interesting and very nice. The $29 breakfast left a lot to be desired.

Good value

Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: Clean, Good size room Helpful friendly staff
Cons: A toilet that is in a separate cubicle within the bathroom would be an improvement
Location: The South Australian Art Gallery and Museum, the Adelaide Oval, central markets, Glenelg tram, restauarants and bars
The location is good, central to all the CBD attractions and transport. The check in was effiecient, the staff helpful and polite. The room (505) was a good size, clean well appointed. The bathroom is large, although the bath seemed short. The shower room was a good size. Interesting that there was an ashtray on the balcony in a non smoking room?? The room was a little noisy but there did seem to be construction work being done somewhere close with a very loud compressor at 1am Sunday morning!! It was a small minus compared to the bonus of having lots of floor to ceiling windows allowing natural light in to the room. We did not use the dining room or the pool/spa. The business centre had two computers and a printer(paper supplied). Overall we had a good stay and at the proce we paid it was good value.

Great Hote

Posted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness. Location.
Cons: The lighting from the bathroom.
The room was lovely. We are very fussy regarding cleanliness and so were delighted with the condition of the room. We only stayed one night before flying home to Queensland and found it very easy to get to the airport the next morning. The only negative .....the modern aspect of the bathroom and toilet being separated from the bedroom by a glass wall and a blind meant that if the bathroom had to be used in the night, the bedroom was lit up albeit diffused. That would not prevent us from another stay at The Rendezvous Grand.
