Best place to stay in the Marina

Posted May 24, 2012
Pros: location, very close to all the restaurants. We went there for surf, so it was about 20 minutes in a taxi to loads of surf spots.
Cons: umm ...hard to pin point anything really - maybe the roof pool part could do with some music maybe, but not a big deal as i took my ipod up there.
Location: Brilliant, close to everything - beach, pool, shops, restaurants.
Hotel was lovely, we had an apartment overlooking agadir beach. Everything in the apartment worked, large fridge which was great considering the weather was 38 degrees - so we were able to stock up on loads of water. Kettle, plates, bowls all supplied which was handy for breakfast. The bed is massive - very comfortable. Great air conditioning aswell. Bathroom was very clean and the shower was lovely. Can't complain about anything as it was all great! Great location aswell, as the roof pool was a few steps away from us and the security around the apartments was 24/7 every day/night - so we felt very safe there! Great place!!!!

Shocking level of cleanliness and service

Posted May 11, 2012
Pros: The location and the view.
Cons: Level of cleanliness and service
Location: The best thing about the apartments is the location, right in the heart of the new marina.
We would not recommend this hotel to anyone. These are not 5 star apartments, 2-3 star at best. Although the the staff were friendly, there was no real level of service. No towels, no toilet paper, broken hairdryer, dirty floors and surfaces, the lock to our front door was broken, chewing gum stuck to the floor in several places, all the kitchen facilities filthy, the list is endless. Additional charges to use the gym and indoor pool. The 'Private beach' surrounded by 50 children playing football. This hotel is certainly not as advertised, be warned.

Not bad, but not a hotel in the traditional sense.

This isn't really a hotel, more like serviced apartments and it meant that the main reception desk was, for us, a 5 - 10 minute walk away. But we did have lovely beach views to compensate, as well as our own balcony and kitchen. The room was comfortable and clean, but we did run out of hot water once (there were three of us) but I'm not sure if that was a one off or due to the time of day. One last point, the entrance to the apartment block was on a sort of side road. Not in itself an issue, but there were regularly dead roaches littering the pavement. I've no idea where they came from, and i certainly didn't see any live roaches or any roaches within the buildings, but I presume they must be there somewhere...
