“Beautiful hotel”

We loved the Gateway Hotel. Service and accomodations were luxurious. The only thing we may have done differntly, in hindsight, is not pay the premium for the "Taj view" room; it looks very ordinary across the dirty crowded city and you can't see it at all at night. Would definitely go back to this hotel!!

“Nice Hotel, Excellent Service”

The Gateway is well positioned to the main sites in Agra like the Taj Mahal. The hotel is very nice, well appointed with a variety of casual seating areas, shopping opportunities, and a very large outdoor garden/pool area for relaxing. What stood out most of all was the high level of service; from the doorman to the hotel front desk staff, housekeeping and restaurant staff, they made the stay exceptional.

“A trip worth remembering!”

From the first to the last minuted we were treated as kings! Very good and discrete service all along. Furthermore the hotel was a relief comparing to the outside world, very clean, tidy and....quiet! We would really recommend anyone who wants to go to Agra to stay in the Taj View Agra Hotel! Our compliments to the management.

“Great Hotel -worth the extra”

We stayed at this hotel following a visit to Delhi as part of a general tour. I The hotel is very good, staff are helpful and courteous.The additional cost of a room with a view of the Taj Mahal is worth it - try to get the 4th floor, Food choice is good and prices reasonable. The gardens and swimming pool is a welcome bonus. All in all couldn't fault anything - try it yourself...you won't be disappointed.

“Great stay at the Taj View”

After very basic living conditions in Delhi the comfort of this hotel was a great relief. It's location on a main road in Agra made it easy for our driver to find. The outside of the hotel isn't all that attractive but once inside the hotel lobby is fairly impressive. he hotel's staff were very helpful, friendly and courteous and even opened a room on the top floor so that we could take a look at the Taj from one of the more expesive rooms. The standard room was really comfortable, spacious and had a bath - something we had been craving for many days after driving all over Delhi and across north India in a van! The hotel has a beautiful pool area, an excellent restaurant that served the best masala dosa and a fantastic buffet breakfast. Don't miss the vanilla milk! They also have free activities like yoga and a Rajasthani puppett show put on by a young man and a teenage boy. It's out by the pool at about 6 pm and is very funny and very skillful. We were with people from Rajasthan who were very impressed with the tradditional songs and music and loved the young boy who played thr drum. I doubt that we will visit Agra again but if we did this would be our hotel of choice. Would also like to try other Taj hotels in India in future as the experience here was first rate.

Excellent hotel. I booked a room with the Taj View. I loved it! I never thought view was going to be that good. Staff is great. Pool is nice. Restaurant's buffet is just OK (expensive though for Indian standards). Neighborhood is so so, but we got a car so no problem for us.

“Nice and economical option in Agra”

Overall very good hotel. It is an older building, and you can see some signs of that, but the renovation work is good overall. Service is good, restuarants are good. Price was a very good value for the level of hotel. I highly recommend it.

“great place to stay while enduring Agra...”

The Taj View hotel was a great experience for me, as the staff went out of their way to enhance my stay with them. While the hotel is on the expensive side in Agra, it offers a good view of the Taj, beautiful grounds, and clean upscale rooms. The restaurant was also very tasty. I recommend this hotel to anyone wanting an escape from the hassles of downtown Agra!
