Agueda is within easy reach of a diverse collection of Aveiro’s well-known sights. Among the most popular attractions here are the marvelous Igreja de Ois da Ribeira and the fantastic Monument to the Emigrants. And don’t miss the Igreja de Fermentelos and the National Forest of Bussaco.
When it’s time escape the city, head to one of the many nearby green spaces. Feel the breeze through your hair at one of the area’s beaches, for example the Costa Nova Beach, Barra Beach and the Sao Jacinto Beach.
While you are in and around Agueda, be sure to visit the Praca da Republica. If you’re into history, Aveiro’s past comes vividly back to life at the Palacio do Bucaco in Mealhada.
Spend an evening with fellow soccer lovers at Estadio Municipal de Aveiro, cheering on the much-loved S.C. Beira-Mar. To fit in, be sure to wear yellow and black, the colors of the S.C. Beira-Mar.
After a day enjoying Agueda, get a good nights sleep at one of the area’s hotels or serviced apartments. Take your pick from the Bussaco Palace Hotel, Mealhada, the Meliá Ria Hotel & Spa, or the Curia Palace Hotel, Spa & Golf, Anadia.
