Very angry customer

Location: There's a really nice hotel called the Lemon Tree Hotel nearby which is a much better choice of hotel.
I'm really disappointed with the extremely poor service I received at this hotel. I had travelled from Mumbai to Ahmedabad by train for 9 hours and reached the hotel at 10:30 pm. The hotel refused my family and I entry because they said they hadn't received confirmation of my booking from Expedia. When I showed them my confirmation from Expedia, they said it wasn't good enough and refused to let me in. I insisted they call Expedia in India (as they said that's who they deal with) to sort it out and when they did (after I found the telephone number for them because they didn't have a contact number, and much pestering) Expedia in India said they didn't have any record of the booking. So I asked them to call Expedia in the UK as that's who I'd booked the hotel with. They refused to do so on the grounds that it would cost them too much to make the call. As a result, I had to make the call from my own mobile which costed me at least £5 of credit, and asked Expedia in the UK to send the hotel confirmation of the booking. Even after Expedia in the UK did this, the hotel refused us entry saying that this confirmation wasn't good enough and that they weren't going to get paid (because they needed confirmation from Expedia in India apparently) so wouldn't let us in. The manager then spoke to the receptionist in Gujarati and said to just ignore us, because eventually we'd get tired and leave. And then she walked off. So we were left stranded on the street in the middle of the night.
