“Better than expected”

We were very happy with this hotel. It was a clean, non-smoking room ( no left over smell), the staff were very friendly and helpful!! Your standard room, furniture is great condition, linens clean-no stains, dirt, industrial smell, little fridge, microwave, business table, switches, lamps and bulbs working, NO BUGS! and very nice pool!! highly recommend, and towels that are standard size and not the size of wash cloths. The hotel backs up to farm land so get a room in the back and no road noise.

“Clean, no frills place to crash overnight. Good bang for your buck.”

I was there for about 6 hours total. Everything was not brand new and it wasn't a 5-Star place, but it was exactly what I needed - an inexpensive place to crash and shower. The room was clean and quiet and I didn't notice any foul odors. Shower pressure was fine and . A/C was VERY cold, which always gets extra points from me! I did not stick around for the breakfast, so I cannot comment on that, unfortunately.

“I already gave them a positive review on their website and I never do that!”

I made plans to go to The Masters late and was on a budget. I selected the least expensive hotel in the area and could not have been happier. I actually already wrote a very positive review about the staff on the Days Inn website, and I never go out of my way to do that. Great customer service, really lives up to the "southern hospitality" that I learned was prevalent in GA/SC.

“Decent place to stay”

This was a return visit to this location. Based on our previous experience, we did not go searching for laundry facilities on the second floor nor take in the free breakfast offered. The ice machine on the second floor was still out of order. We had a problem with our room and management made it right.

“Review of Days Inn at I-20, Aiken, SC”

We reserved and "received" a non-smoking king sized bed room. However, it was apparent that a strong smell of tobacco smoke was in the bathroom, especially whenever the door was closed. The coffee maker in our room did not work. The ice machine on the second floor did not deliver ice although the one on the first floor did. There were signs posted that indicated a guest laundry was on the second floor, but none was to be found. There were insufficient facial tissues in the dispenser on the wall near the sink. All of these things were mentioned at check-out. The continental breakfast was extremely carbohydrate-intensive (no fruit and no protein other than milk available). The orange juice and apple juice tasted diluted. On the positive side, the bed and pillows in our room were very comfortable. We also enjoyed the computer "workstation" type table in the room. There was also plenty of hot water for taking showers and we liked the curved shower rod for holding the shower curtain away from the user. Parking was adequate and there is even truck parking next door for those who don't mind carefully navigating around the many wide potholes.

“Basic Roadside rest stop”

I was here for the Masters, about 20 miles away in Augusta. Rates that week are crazy, with this hotel also aware of the demand. Basic room, clean, quiet. Nothing extra, nothing missing. Fine, but not any better than that.

The Days Inn, Aiken was the last "inexpensive" hotel with vacancies in proximity to my business meeting, so I grabbed a room. It sits behind an all-night gas station/convenience store right off the interstate. It didn't seem unsafe, just a little rundown. The room itself was pretty shabby with peeling paint, fixtures falling off the walls and signs of poor maintenance practices. The bed, however, was comfortable and appeared to be clean. The carpet was stained and dirty, but not much worse than a lot of drive-up hotels I've stayed in.

“Not Impressed”

I was not please with this hotel. The front desk customer services need help, my door key did not work, I had to go to the front desk three time before they got it right. The hotel only have one vending and ice machine on the first floor and there wasn't any ice in the machine.
