“Four Stars for the Price of two”
We couldn't believe that this was only a two star hotel. It must have been recently updated. The staff was literate in English, the restaurant has good service and good food--plus and English menu upon request.
“Good for a cheap overnight near the airport”
This was almost the only hotel I could find which had a room for 2 adults and 2 children ( 5 & 7 years old Cheap, clean, apartment type hotel just 2 minutes by car from Geneva airport (even closer if you have to return your car to the French side of the airport) Very friendly and helpful staff at check in. Room basic but clean, as you would expect for a 2 star. Restaurant was good for evening meal and breakfast with 2 young (tired) children. Free Wi-Fi was a pleasant bonus Would recommend for a family looking for an overnight for the airport.
“good hotel close to Geneve air port”
nice restaurant as well
“good hotel”
great clean little hotel except the food was not very great, good customer service
“Good value for money.”
Easy access from airport. Clean and well kept hotel although the air conditioning broke down during our stay. Restaurant meals good for the money. Very helpful staff.
“30 Euros each way to airport to a desolate location”
The hotel is OK, but it is in a burnt-out area of semi-industrial buildings, and is a 30 Euro taxi ride each way to the airport (not walkable). The desk attendant was very nice, and it did have WIFI, though it was very slow.
“workers hotel”
This is a minimalistic motel. Located in residential area, mostly used by workers. Ok for 1 night stay but longer and not at all convenient
“Close to Geneva airport but not cheap if you need a taxi!”
The hotel was pretty much as we expected it to be - clean room, polite and welcoming staff but fairly basic facilities at a reasonable cost - so we would be willing to recommend the hotel but not if you need to get a taxi between Geneva airport and the hotel...! It is useful to know that you can exit Geneva airport on either the Swiss side or the French side. There is an automatic "dial a taxi" facility on the exit at the French side but we were shocked to be charged 20 euros as the taxi journey is only 2 or 3 kilometres. We thought this was just because there was a strike by taxi drivers on the Swiss side and that we arrived late evening on a rainy night so the driver was taking advantage of us as he knew we had no alternative (he didn't switch on his meter). However, we asked the receptionist at the hotel and she said a taxi would normally cost 20 to 25 euros - and the meter in the taxi on our return clocked up 24 euros. It is possible to get the Y bus from Ferney-Voltaire to Geneva railway station or the PEX-GEX bus from Geneva station to Ferney-Voltaire but these don't stop in the town centre on market days or festival days. Tickets must be bought from the machine on the bus which only takes coins. Also, it takes the best part of an hour to travel by bus whereas a taxi only takes 5 or 10 minutes to the airport.
“If you really need to save money, it's ok otherwise go somewhere else.”
The staff is friendly and helpful, there is free WIFI in the rooms, very quite place, there is complimentary coffee, Tea, cookies and a kettle. These are the only positive things about the hotel. Its the first time I stay in a 2 star hotel, I have no previous experience to compare to. Its not a building, it looks like country houses linked together, more of a motel. The reception and restaurant are in a different section than the rooms. The room looks clean until you turn the lights on, there are all kinds of bugs (a spider welcomed me in the bathtub, gladly I dont have arachnophobia or I would have passed out). Dont ever leave your window or door open, you will see mosquitoes as big as butterflies in your room. Cleaning is terrible; you will see the same dirty spots over and over again.
“Room stunk of cigarettes”
Quite a shabby place
