Hotels in Ain, France

Recommended: This hotel/apartment is in a decent location. The room was big enough for a family of four. The AC would not get cool until I did an adjustment to the AC outside. I doubt if the hotel staff or maintenance would have know to adjust this particular knob. It's a low cost cab ride from the airport. It's also a low cost bus ride into Geneva. Local grocery stores and restaurant reduce the cost of the trip. Very helpful staff. I felt safe and clean. Pool was operational. A European Three-Four star. See all reviews for this hotel

Recommended: Although the hotel has a spa (swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, etc) for vacationers in the quaint, laid-back town of Divonne-les-Bains (with a casino, golf course, hiking trails, thermal baths and man-made lake), the rooms and foyer are more reminiscent of a business hotel. Since I stayed on business, this was fine, although it would have been better if the rooms had wireless internet access instead of LAN connections. Nonetheless, internet access was free, the room was clean and well appointed and had a balcony, and I enjoyed my stay (although I should have brought my swimming suit). Recommended: The arrival was pleasant and attentive. Staff in every department very freindly and helpful. The room good sized and comfortable for two people. However, on arrival was told it was an upgrade(always nice to hear) because stanard not good for two people. As the one I had was not excessively large was wondering how small it could have been. Had dinner twice in the Terrace. both times excellent in all respects. A bit expensive but not out of line for the hotel. The hotel itself was well maintained and had a lovely deco feel, but some of the areas felt a little old fasion in style. The town is small and not exciting, but it was off season and basically a spa town. Overall pleasant stay, and can't beat access to Geneva airport. See all reviews for this hotel

Recommended: very spacious room with nice hard floors and a small kitchen. the bright white bathtub was a great surprise after a long day of driving. would definitely stay there again. one wierd thing was the room was on the ground floor and the curtains were pretty translucent so if there were people outside parking their car they could see if the tried. didn't make it to the baths but it was right next door. Not recommended: Great value place for overnight stay. Very convenient to GVA airport. Room is a basic capsule. Request for double bed didn't come through - had 2 singles. One VERY squeeky. Not enough room to swing a cat in. Room had a pillow menu - and when going to reception no spare pillows were available. Bed sagged in the middle. Toilet was tiny with shower that made bathroom very wet. Only good for overnight stay. Would not recommed it if staying for more than one night. See all reviews for this hotel

Recommended: The hotel is clean and nice, The food was very good. problems:* The name is misleading - it is about 30-40 minutes from Geneva Airport, and it is quite isolated. * The hotel didn't send a car to pick us from the airport al though we requested it in advance - we had to call them and wait for an hour till they came. * We assumed that the reservation included breakfast, on check-out we discovered it didn't.
