Run down old resortPosted Oct 13, 2013
Pros: It was the only available motel at the time, staff were nice.
Cons: It needs a renovation, new beds -they are rock hard.
Location: Close to town
Only stayed one night and was disappointed. The beds were rock hard, and basically just a bed and a pool, not any other facilities.

Good LocationPosted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: The outdoor pool & garden area is great. We were with a group and it was nice to have a outdoor area to meet and relax. The kids enjoyed the pool.
Cons: Smoking! Patrons outside on either side smoking with their smoke drifting around & into our room was not pleasant. Make one entire end no smoking
Location: Sadly Airlie was having a revamp & roadworks but with a car there are other beautiful places like Conway and the islands.
The rooms need updating and smelled stale but were clean. The price was fair so will stay there again equipped with hairdrier.

Budget acommodation - okayPosted Aug 19, 2013
This is a budget accommodation hotel located within walking distance of Airlie Beach town centre and all the "action". It was, in it's day, a funky place to stay. It is still okay for those wanting a clean room at a budget price. A Coles supermarket, Brumby's Bakery and other shops are just 200 metres away. While reception is not staffed 24/7, there is always someone "on call". The pool and spa are quite appealing. Bearing in mind it is not advertised for more than what it is, it is satisfactory. Bar & buffet breakfast are available during limited hours. Wireless Internet is provided for those that cannot "cut the ties" while on holiday. Tour bookings and free taxi phone on site. Plenty of secure parking.

The beds were a little hard, they needed to have information in the room about services available like public transport , restaurants etc The staff were very helpful in advising you but you needed to have some sort of booklet in the rooms with all the information. Otherwise found the hotel very comfortable.

Why does a review need a title? Stupid.Posted Jul 27, 2013
Location: A $10 cab ride to the main strip, or a 15-20 min walk.
All in all, a solid hotel. Not especially glamorous, but clean and reasonably nice, with a good pool and hot tub. No real complaints.

Welcoming but tired.Posted Jun 21, 2013
Staff were amazing, super friendly and helpful. Pool looked fun for kids, and grown-ups too on a warm day. Room was satisfactory. However large drawback was lack of upkeep. Peeling paint and the whole place generally very tired. Here in winter, dining room and bar closed except Fri and Sat evenings. Breakfast ok for $9.

Old but does the job!Posted May 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
You can tell that Club Croc used to be the place to be, a lick of paint and high pressure hose down wouldn't go astray. I couldn't tell whether the tiles were old or dirty. But aside from the aging interiors the resort has a pool, bar and rooms that keep you more satisfied than staying in a backpackers for a similar price. The low prices justify the outdated air of the place, and it is in a great location, just over the hill from town and away from the nocturnal activities which might otherwise keep you awake.
