Fantastic PositionPosted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: Its position near the water and the boardwalk. The space and facilities of the apartment.
Cons: Some of the appliances and fittings needed attention, but they were dealt with promptly when we asked.
We loved the position of Peninsula Airlie Beach for its proximity to the wonderful views across Pioneer Bay. The north facing balconies were spacious and gave us the opportunity to enjoy the views and winter sun. The apartment was spacious enough for the 7 of us and we had sufficient privacy if we needed it. We were able to walk 10 minutes in either direction along the boardwalk for coffee and eateries, but we used our car to buy groceries as the distance was too far to carry them. Abell Point Marina is a 10 minute walk away and it is possible to take tours from there to the islands. The position, however, means that the area very quiet, perfect for a holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Peninsula Airlie Beach and would have loved to have stayed longer if time had permitted.

nice and clean and so pretty viewPosted May 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
it is one of the best place to stay in the Whitsundays. Some may say it is not at all convenient other than being close to the centre, but the advantage is also away from busy places. We enjoyed it completely !

Great apartments in a great location!Posted Jan 12, 2014
Stayed at the Peninsula apartments in January 2014 and would definitely return. The apartments are about a 3 minute drive out of the main street of Airlie beach, right next to the Marina. Lovely location on the waterfront, with panoramic views of the Whitsundays. I will definitely be returning to stay, wouldnt stay anywhere else. Dorothy, the front of house lady, was extremely friendly and helpful. Made our stay even more enjoyable.

Prime Waterfront ViewsPosted Jan 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
Had a great, relaxing stay, apartments were quiet especially considering we stayed over New Years Eve. All the amenities one could ask for, great size apartment and rooms. We had a complete waterfront view which we loved and we spent most of our time hanging out on the large balcony. Reception was really helpful and friendly. Overall a great stay!

Great apartment on flat ground at Airlie BeachPosted Nov 4, 2013
Pros: proximity to all facilities but quiet
Cons: something to baffle sound
Location: Lots to see and do for every one. It the Whitsunday's
Apartment was great and ideal for our large family who had gathered for a wedding at Airlie. The only thing that I would note is that the loft bedroom has no doors or walls as such, it therefore suffers from noise from the rest of the apartment and TV's. The balcony overlooking the marina was very calming and relaxing.

Fantastic Apartment with great Marina ViewsPosted Oct 25, 2013
Pros: The location was great only a 10 minute walk to the local supermarket in one direction or a 15-20 minute walk in the other direction into Airlie Beach
Location: Definitely check out the Italian restaurant on the Marina they have the best pizza's & great views. Also take a trip to Whitehaven beach its beautiful
My partner and I stayed in a two bedroom apartment for 3 nights, the apartments are huge and clean with all the mod cons you need like Wi-Fi, large kitchen, stereo, dvd player, Foxtel etc. I loved the 2 levels with 1 of the bedrooms upstairs. We felt really at home here it was so nice to just sit on the balcony with a cocktail and take in the fresh sea breeze and watch all the boats. We will definitely stay here again .

Great Hotel with awesome views!Posted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: It was the nicest 'hotel' we ever stayed at. But it wasn't a hotel it was more like a home. The views were so beautiful!
Cons: No need for improvement -- you guys did everything right!
Location: Airlie Beach is very quiet. We enjoyed stand-up paddle boarding right by the hotel with Mark. There was a Mexican Restaurant that was nice.
Our adventure to the Whit Sunday Islands included Peninsula from 8/28 - 9/4. We had a beautiful 3 bedroom apartment for my husband and 3 children -- 7, 17, and 20. It was clean and nicely furnished. From the moment we arrived, Sandy at the front desk was fantastic. She gave us 3 great recommendations for day trips to White Haven Beach, Great Barrier Reef and Hamilton Island. We used Cruise Whit Sunday which is a quick walk from Peninsula and worked great. Would recommend all 3 -- the full day to White Haven with guided tour was fabulous. Lunch at Hamilton at the Marina was delightful! Do snorkel at the Great Barrier Reef. Coming from the US -- where we have beautiful Long Island beaches, I was not impressed with Airlie's beaches ... but the man made beach was very nice. Found the restaurants at Arlie to be fair so we preferred using the kitchen facilities. The kitchen was clean and well stocked. Shopped at Coles and found the selection/quality to be first rate. This is about a 20 minute walk and there are taxis available for the ride back. To conclude, we really loved everything about Peninsula and I would highly recommend it if your plans include a stay in Airlie Beach. Coming from the US, I was concerned about getting to the hotel from the airport, and Dorothy totally helped me with transportation -- she is also fantastic! Take a moment to unwind, rest, and enjoy the views! As I quickly found out a return to reality comes way too fast!

We had a great time at The Peninsula. Its not really a hotel but more a collection of cool apartments with great views and the wonderful Dorothy managing everything. Great place and highly recommended.
