The Perfect Small Hotel

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: The perfect location old town just steps away for the Cour Mirabeau.
The location is great in the old town, steps away from Cour Mirabeau. The hotel incorporates some of the ruins of the 13th century monastery of its sites. Our room appeared to be pleasingly recently redecorated with a new bath. We would not stay any place else.

Basic hotel, great location

The hotel is right in the center of town, so once you park your car (if you have one) you can walk everywhere.

Great Unique Hotel!

Posted Jul 8, 2013
Pros: Loved the ambience of this converted old monastery. Truly unique architecture inside.
Location: The best way to get an overview of Aix is to take the little tram tour. You can catch it at the Rotonde, only 2 short blocks from the hotel.
Extremely convenient location. Close to the old area of Aix, yet right off the main street, with lots of restaurants. Very quiet (the French know how to do double glazed windows very well!). Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Just loved returning each evening to this quiet little hotel in the center of it all!

Right in the center of town

Fabulous location although you must park a few hundred meters away in public parking (15 euros a night). Difficult to wait outside, but possible to wait close by for unloading. Staff is friendly, and courteous, and the breakfast (extra 10 euros) is adequate with fresh bread, croissants, etc.

Clean, safe, reasonable hotel in the heart of Provence

Posted Oct 5, 2010
Very nice, clean hotel in the middle of Aix. Easily walked to from the bus arrival spot. Very helpful staff and air conditioned rooms (we were handed a personal AC remote when we arrived). Simple very pink room with shampoo, etc. and good sealing windows to insulate from street noise. Hotel staff helped us locate two local provencal restaurants nearby (Les Agapes and Grand Mere). Couldn't have asked for more.
