"Nice little hotel in a quiet but convenient area"
Hotel was pretty good. Don't expect a 5 star experience but nothing big to complain about. Room was small but a little bigger than our previous hotel in Osaka. Our semi-double bed was also slightly bigger than our previous hotel's so that's a plus. The hotel room had more of an apartment feel than the usual hotels that we stayed in. Combined with the quaint neighborhood, that is a positive. I just found it odd that there was no airconditioning and that we had to open the window to let the cold in. Of course, that also meant sound coming from the streets coming into the hotel room, but not a big deal as the area is not very high traffic so noise was limited. As for the location, it was pretty good. It was a 3-5 minute walk from the JR or Tokyo Metro station. A couple of stops away from Tokyo station and a stop away from Shinjuku station on a rapid train. There were a couple of coffee shops around the area, a few convenience stores and a 24 hour beef bowl place in case you get hungry late at night. There's also a strip of restaurants in the street behind the hotel which would give guests good dining options as well as a pizzeria on the ground floor which doubles as the breakfast place. I don't think there's very much to do around the area shopping/sightseeing-wise but its a good base to go see the busy city and still come home to a relaxing area every night.

"You'd be silly not to stay here!"
The experience at the Grand Arc was very pleasurable. We had a non smoking room on floor 14 (The whole floor is non smoking which we really liked). The interior of the hotel was very modern and sophisticated and was mainly occupied by businessmen, staff were always in perfect uniform and everything was in place. The staff were more than happy to help with anything we wanted and all seemed to speak good English if you don't speak or know much Japanese. The location is pretty fantastic despite seeing reviews that it was out of the way, we found it very easy to get to wherever we needed to be. The views from our room were spectacular, facing onto the Imperial Palace gardens and we could see Tokyo Tower too. The main thing that attracted us to the hotel was the price. For £45 a night for a semi double room this place is a steal! The room size was huge for Japanese standards and we had enough room for our cases and then room to spare. The bed was very comfortable if a bit firm (Like most Asian beds though) and the pillows were fairly thin but it wasn't a problem.

"Comfortable and personable Japanese-style inn"
Staying at this ryokan turned out to be an excellent choice for me. It was clean and comfortable. The owners are on-site, very kind, and accomodating of non-Japanese speakers. Plus, the breakfast every morning was excellent. An illustrative tidbit of all of the above: I came back to the ryokan the last night of my stay and asked if I could use the microwave to heat up a bowl of udon. The owner said yes and heated it up for me. When it was done, he asked if I wanted a fork to eat with. I declined because I had chopsticks, and he said, "Oh! You know how to use chopsticks." The next morning, when I sat down for breakfast, he set a pair of chopsticks next to my plate rather than the usual fork.

"Great value hotel"
Very happy with the hotel. We had a comfortable, spacious twin bedded room on the fifth floor. There was an ethernet cord in our room so we could plug in our netbook. Breakfast was good. We arrived in the evening and followed the directions that someone else had given in a previous review. This was so helpful. The hotel is located in a quiet area and is close to the metro so it's easy to get around. Would definitely stay here again. We thought that Japan would be a daunting country to visit but, from arrival, we received nothing but kindness, assistance and courtesy that smoothed our path.

I had a very pleasant stay. My room was still waiting for me when I arrived at 11:30pm. It was a little on the small side (it was a single room), but it was comfortable, spotlessly clean, and had a beautiful view over Akasaka! The ensuite was a good size and was also spotlessly clean. I didn't spend much time in my room, anyway, so I didn't mind. The location is a little far from the main tourist areas of Shinjuku, Harajuku, etc., but that means that it is incredibly peaceful. Plus, it is within a 5-10 minute walk of two Metro stations which provide easy access to the rest of Tokyo. I would highly recommend this hotel.

"Excellent value for money"
This hotel is recently built with modern, clean and efficient facilities. It is aimed at budget travelers who want relative comfort and clean, attractive facilities but are willing to sacrifice a bit on space, service and amenities. It has washing machines, and limited kitchen equipment. Desk personnel are intelligent and efficient as well as polite. Towels are replaced but room cleaning services are apparently not provided every day. Close walking distance to the Yotsuya Station both JR and Tokyo Metro. Lots of restaurants in the vicinity. Breakfast if included is in the Jonathan Restaurant on the first floor; also efficient and clean, aimed at budget conscious travelers.

"Great price, great rooms, great location."
A few block walk from the Akasaka-dori and the Akasaka stop of the Marunouchi Line, this Weekly Mansion is located in a convenient part of Tokyo. Akasaka-dori is lined with many restaurant, including familiar western establishments as well as some of the local chains. In addition, there is Akasak Biz Tower, a business complex with many more shops and restaurants (For the beer aficionado, it houses Tokyo’s Delirium Café, which is part of the reason I choose the hotel. For night life, the hotel is a 15 minute walk from Roppongi, an area fill with bars and clubs and popular with westerners. As far as the hotel, the rooms were very clean and surprisingly large. The bathrooms are small and resemble that of a motor home (i.e. the toilet is right in front of the door), but after traveling around Japan I now know that this is the norm. Overall, a great place to stay.

Sights in themselves, hotels include the New Otani complex, featuring a garden that was once owned by a Tokugawa regent, and ANA Hotel Tokyo, which has skyline views rivaling those of Tokyo Tower.
