My job requires that I travel and I enjoy it! Top notch hotel with great amenities and views - like all other reviews state. PROS Top floors of Tokyo's tallest building. I wasn't facing Tokyo tower nor Mt Fuji but had great city views Large rooms with very large bathrooms. Toto bidet, multiple sinks, separate shower.

"Location, outlook and transport"
Six night stay in early autumn after nine gruelling days travelling in other areas of Japan. This hotel is a great place to base yourself to explore greater Tokyo. While it is not on a main subway line there is a station very nearby. If travelling with lots of luggage maybe arriving by taxi from Tokyo Station is a better option. This only cost ¥1,400. Very cheap and no hassles with the many stairs in Hanzomon Station. Very clean room on a non-smoking floor with a great view over the moat of the Imperial Palace, the Japanese Diet building and Tokyo Tower. The room was quite large for a single person but might start feeling tight with two people. The staff at reception were very courteous and helpful with only some minor language issues. The breakfast menu was limited to American and Japanese style breakfasts which were fresh and well presented, and once again served by friendly and efficient staff. I had become accustomed to some excellent buffet breakfasts so I was mildly disappointed with the breakfast options. I will stay at Grand Arc Hanzomon next time I'm in Tokyo if there any rooms available.

"Nice area with a subway station across the road"
After reading both positive and negative reviews on this hotel I made the decision to book a 9 night stay. First impressions were that the hotel was on a quiet street with nearby convenience stores, cafes/restaurants and the bonus of a subway station across the street. Staff were very helpful storing bags due to our early morning arrival. Checking in an hour ahead of the advertised time we found that the room was small and the beds were firm, but we never struggled to fall asleep and never wished that we had stayed elsewhere. I don't think I would want to consider another hotel in Tokyo after this experience. It was a wonderful place to stay. We accessed all of the usual sights of Tokyo and some other out of the way parts of the city from the adjacent Hanzomon Station (Exit 5).

Great location with subway station 5 minutes walk in distance and a convenient part of the city. Room was a bit small but typical in Tokyo and great value for the price range. Hotel staffs are friendly and tried their best to help with anything although some limitations with English. Lots of restaurants are located couple blocks away.

"First trip to Japan"
I booked our stay at the Akasaka Excel Hotel based on the ratings and reviews that were previously written, the photos that were posted , and the availability of a limousine bus to the hotel from Narita airport. It was easy to secure a seat on the bus from the counter inside the baggage claim area. The limousine bus was a comfortable and affordable way to travel into the city. The check-in at the hotel was quick and easy. Although our room was on the 9th floor, we had a beautiful view of an elevated garden outside of our window! So much better than looking out onto the street. Although the room was small, it had a nice bathroom with a multi-function shower, a heated seat cover on the bidet, and well-appointed toiletries (ex: toothbrushes, hairbrushes, cotton, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel). The only downside was not having enough closet or drawer space. We just kept our clothing in our suitcases. There was a 7-11 which stocked fresh cut fruit and delicious breads/pastries for breakfast, a Tully's coffee shop for more gourmet coffees, and a SuperKus convenience store which had bento lunches Mon-Fri all on the street level. The Akasaka-Mitsuke train station was located right across the street which made our daily traveling so easy! There were also over 100 dining options across the street. The larger train stations (Shibuya, Tokyo) were also filled with restaurants and eateries! All of it was delicious and affordable! Can't wait to make my 2nd trip to Japan! ;

"I liked Kitano Arms !"
When I go to Japan, I need to control my costs but also have a decent sized space and services. Japanese business hotels are low priced, but the rooms are too small. Kitano Arms has rates comparable to buiness hotels but with larger rooms and local laundry facilities. This is where I will stay from now on when I go to Tokyo.

"Clean hotel with bfast near metro"
Stayed in Centurion Residential for 5 nights. Staff were very helpful and accomodating. Room was spacious, new and clean. It has a stove, a washer and complete toiletries. TV was huge and aircon was cold. Room came with breakfast buffet. Lots of good restaurants around, a favorite was Ittou-yu Ramen just at the back if the hotel. Several convenience stores, a McDonalds and a big BIC Camera store are near by. 2 major lines of the metro (train stations) are a short walk away. Airport limo drop off and pick up at a nearby hotel. We would definitely stay there again when in Tokyo.

    Pocket Guide: Akasaka, Tokyo Shopping Hotels

    Posh hotels and a good selection of mid-range restaurants can be found in this area bordering Ginza’s northwest side. Sights in themselves, hotels include the New Otani complex, featuring a garden that was once owned by a Tokugawa regent, and ANA Hotel Tokyo, which has skyline views rivaling those of Tokyo Tower.
