“Okay”
Shower wasn't great. The first shower was cold, the second shower was too hot and was one extreme or the other, there was no "hot water cold water mix".
“Would not go back.”
Was given a choice of rooms on the listing of rooms and when got there any room with more than one bed was a upgrade of $10. After checking on the second room, food a candy rapper on the floor and in the shower there was some mold, the heater was so loud had to turn off to make a phone call.
“I get what I´ve expect for the cost”
Nothing special to say
“Radisson Hotel Akron/Fairlawn”
The Hotel is simply old and out dated. The pool was dirty. The hot tube was not really hot like normal hot tubes. The sunna was locked and the exersice room really lacked equipment.
“A good choice for business travelers”
Very comfortable room. Pleasant staff. Cheap buffet breakfast. Overall, a decent choice if you are a business traveler looking for a clean comfortable hotel in Fairlawn.
“Will go back”
Safe location. Under new management. Very nice as is, but the entire hotel is slated to be renovated to be even better.
“Radisson/ Fairlawn”
Nice, Clean, Quiet
“needs to be cleaned and updated”
We stayed here on a trip from the UP to Philadelphia. The location was good, very easy to get back on the road but the hotel was rundown. There was broken furniture in lobby, table at breakfast was splattered with old coffee and there was a hair in the tub. Yuck. Looks like it used to be a nice hotel. We didn't use the pool but we could smell the chlorine from the hallway.Wouldn't stay there again. Lots of other choices.
“A Major Disappointment - Would NEVER return!”
There was a time when you heard the name "Radisson" you would think of a beautiful hotel with extremely nice facilities and excellent service, that is no longer the case. When we drove up, the building itself was utterly filthy, and looked like it had not been washed in years. My fiancee and I felt trepidation walking in, but the lobby did look very nice. Nevertheless, we were once again disappointed when we saw the room. It was moderately clean, but nothing to write home about. We had booked a "King Size Suite", which one would think would be spacious and have excellent facilities, not so. Frankly, it was less appealing than many budget motels I have stayed at, had no refrigerator or microwave, and was barely even the kind of place I would want to spend the night. The lock on the porch (if you want to call it that) was broken, and the bar was the only thing keeping cretins from paying us a visit. The fact I had requested a smoking room and was unable to obtain one just added insult to injury. We were unable to access the "Free WiFi" and they expected us to pay $6.95 for breakfast when every other place offered it free. We had prepaid for the room, and now I know why that was necessary, no one in their right mind would stay there. We stayed one night, then walked away from a substantial investment to stay at a place down the street we were very happy with. Though I will probably never get my money back, I simply chalk it up to a learning experience.
“Things have changed since my last visit”
We had our family reunion at this hotel several yrs ago and I thought the place pretty much was going to have the same quality of service but it did not. The desk clerk was very pleasant and I had a quick check in. I was excited to use the hot tub and sauna but to my disappointment the sauna is no longer being used and the hot tub was not working either. The pool did not have the heat on and the whole area was not that clean.. After several people complained the pools heat was turned on but the sauna was not working until my last day there. The patio deck outside my room had a ashtray filled with cigarettes. I called the desk clerk so I could ask a question and no one answered. Had my daughter go downstairs and no one was at the desk. She was able to leave the hotel to run a errand and came back through a unlocked side door and the clerk still was not there. It was after 10 pm! We did not feel too safe knowing anyone could just walk right in through a side door and have access to the facility. The breakfast buffet was standard, basic and some of the food items I could not tell exactly what it was suppose to be. The eggs were cold and no one came over to ask if we needed anything or offered to refresh our coffee. I know times require companies to cut back on personnel but when you have such a nice hotel as the Radisson, they really need to step up. Overall the place is still lovely with lots of lush greenery all around the bldg. I loved that!
