Xandari is so beautiful. We hiked to the incredible waterfall after a delicious breakfast with a view of the Central Valley. The pool was warm and had beautiful grounds and flowers all around.
The room with patio and view is unique. This was our 2nd time here and we will always stay here anytime we are in Costa Rica. Love it!

We had a wonderful experience at Asclepios.
The grounds were amazingly well kept and clean. They grow some of their own food and herbs there. The pool has an amazing view of a large mountainside. It is exceptionally quiet (Except the Crickets at dusk and dawn). Everything is green, organic, and solar powered including the pool which is always kept warm.
The food is a little expensive but honestly it was the BEST food we found in all of Costa Rica, they have an amazing chef and staff in general. Everyone is very knowledgeable about the country. Breakfast usually includes a fruit bowl (custom prepared), some bread with a wonderful fruit spread and some tea or infusion. It was perfect to start our day but do NOT expect a continental breakfast, eggs, pancakes, etc. Everything in this restaurant is low carb, high protein, or vegan. There is no coffee on the grounds, no vending machines, nothing of the traditional hotel here, this is a Spa and place of peace and meditation.
There is no air conditioning, so it can get hot mid to late day, but the rooms are very open with tall ceilings and many doors and windows. They have a huge array of amazing Spa services from flotation therapy to massage and body wraps.
It is an EXCELLENT destination to just come and relax without ever leaving the grounds, or to come back to when you are out adventuring. Just be prepared to have a generous budget with you! Perfect for Couples and worth every penny!
Enjoy your Stay!

This is a lovely place to stay on one's way in or out of the airport. Very clean, very pleasant and helpful staff. You can hear the airplanes, but not too loud. Slept like a dream. Do visit the Zoo Ave while you are there, only 15 mins away from the hotel.

We have been to Costa Rica several times and we always stayed at hotel Aeropuerto when arriving late in SJO and/or leaving early. It is conveniently located close to the airport (around 4 kms). Setup is nice with nice garden and swimming pool. Nice restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Great place to start (or end) your visit to Costa Rica. We stayed there at the beginning and end of our trip. For us a much better option than Holiday Inn express or Hampton Inn because the Hotel and the grounds were true to Costa Rica culture. Emanuel and staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to do a day trip to Lapaz waterfall and Poas volcano national park and be back to the hotel for dinner.

Everything was great with the Pure Vida Spa and Yoga Retreat. The one big problem is that if a person goes on their website it says all meals are included. But, if you book through EXPEDIA the meals are not included and you will receive a whooping extra charge per meal eaten there. Be ready to pay more than expected.
The view is great and there is a very nice coffee field right across from the property which made for a very senic run and walk.

Always looking for a decent spot in San Jose to stay when getting in from the airport or about to head out, and this was it! The rooms were clean and the staff accommodating and helpful. Breakfast before we left was just delightful on the patio. Luckily they had some great little gifts that I could snag on my way out too… plus if you're lucky you might be able to score some fresh pastries!

We stayed there for a week and enjoyed the place to its entirety. From the humming birds and butterflys feeding of their plants to the great breakfast in the morning. Also very convinient location to get to the airport.

The city of Alajuela is in Alajuela province, 20 km (13 mi) northwest of San Jose and just 3 km (2 mi) north of Juan Santamaria International Airport. Many visitors to Costa Rica stay here on their way in and out the country. Colonial architecture is still evident in the city center. The central market, covering an entire city block, is a great place to buy souvenirs.
