Staff was great but hotel badly needs a facelift. Everything was rundown and room showed a lot of damage. Ok for one night but probably better options for the price
This was a nice hotel and a good value. Next time we go to White Sands we will stay here. The room was clean and spacious, and they had a decent free breakfast. Only downside for our particular stay was we didn't have hot water one night (staff immediately offered to come check) and the remotes were a bit wonky/in need of new batteries.
An older property that is a bit tired. We stayed two nights. Staff is friendly, but we had no maid service and there was a used towel on the bathroom door when we arrived. Kitchen help had to locate the desk clerk for check out.
This Fairfield property did not live up to my previous experience with Marriott.
This place is warn out the bathroom ceiling was coming down from water damage. The tile is cracked and moving as you stepped on it . Most of the grout was kissing in the floor tile. Terrible for the money I had to pay. Definitely not what you would expect at a Marriott location.

The room was not clean. Trash on the floor. Sheet dirty with spots. Dust in corners. Bath sink counter dirty. Had to change rooms the next day. Not happy at all with Marriott.
Breakfast was excellent. Maybe use a little less colrox when washing sheets.

We were given the room that hasn't been cleaned at all. waited for 45 minutes to get the room set up and the room was not cleaned well (carpet is not vacuumed at all).

We stayed 1 night, and it was a good safe place to stay. Breakfast was good in the morning, and coffee/tea are available 24 hrs. The gym looked decent as well as the pool. Would we stay again... yes.

Property is old and outdated. Room and bathroom needed to be thoroughly cleaned. Glad I had Clorox wipes to wipe bathroom down before using it. Hotel cleanliness was poor, dingy and dirty. Glad we only stayed one night.

When we got into the room, it was nasty. The beddings were dirty and we have to call the front desk to change our linens, there are socks and plastic from the previous guest that was not discarded, and I left my sweater and came back for it but the maid at the hotel probably took it or threw it away.

Just not as clean as I expect. Corners of bathroom had hair in them and the windowsill hadn’t been dusted in forever. Otherwise, very nice. The room for bkfst was large and nicely decorated. The English muffins were very stale tho.

Hotels who have moved away from old school soap and little bottle of shampoo to the in shower pumps should at least CHECK THE DAMN THINGS to make sure they actually have soap and shampoo in them!

The property and staff were great. Good breakfast. Safe and quiet. Our only issue was the sheets had stains and the bathroom had quite a bit of hair on the tile. Room appropriately priced.

Firstly the AC unit wasn't working properly. That was very frustrating. The room telephones weren't working. We set our dirty towels out for housekeeping to replace. Whomever put the clean towels in the bathroom didn't secure the room door and when we returned later that day the door was ajar and not secure. I mad the front desk aware of all these incidents.

Front desk lady when I checked in was so nice! Great breakfast! The location is only 18 miles from White sands! Very convenient. Dining options are all within 5 min. Great place to stay of you are planning a visit to white sands national park.
Check in was quick, plenty of free parking, 3rd floor room was nice and clean, breakfast was well stocked and also had hot food items, over all a very pleasant stay, I'd stay here again in the future.
I have family in Alamogordo and needed a place to stay. The Fairfield Inn & Suites was very attractive and fairly new. It was like a rose among the thorns of properties in town. The staff did a great job and breakfast was good. I will stay there again.
