Wonderful!

This hotel was wonderful for reasonable rate! Staff was professional and friendly, room was clean, breakfast had nice bountiful variety including hot items. Grounds were well maintained with nice outdoor sitting area. Location was great for catching Rio Grande train ride, and Sand Dunes.

Big rooms

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Nice big rooms with room to turn around! The rooms were clean and the staff helpful. The breakfast was enjoyable. The mini waffles were great because they were easy to share and sped up the line!

A nice mid-priced hotel

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Very pleasant manager and staff.
Cons: Fix the pool fans.
Location: Great Sand Dunes national monument should not be missed!
This Best Western is a bit aged, but very well maintained (particularly the garden). The enclosed pool area was clean and comfortable, except that the exhaust fans were initially not on, and subsequently, only one worked; in the high heat of the day, the pool area was too warm to be comfortable.

My family and I spend two days at Best Western Hotel in Alamosa, Co. The staff was friendly and the room as nice and clean. The pillows and mattress were ok- they could be a bit more comfortable. Overall, a very nice hotel.

Nice hotels for an unplanned stop in Alamosa

Posted May 13, 2014
Pros: The breakfast offerings and cleanliness.
Location: Sand Dunes National Park is about 30-40 minutes away. The San Luis Valley Pizza Company has good food and is close.
We were traveling home from Cortez when a snowstorm hit the front range, making the travel conditions on I25 slow and dangerous. We decided to wait out the storm and stay in Alamosa. Our room was super clean and comfortable, the hot tub and pool facilities were in really good shape, and the staff was really nice. The breakfast was good; we really liked the mini waffle maker.

Good hotel for the price.

Pros: Room was clean & comfortable.
Everything was fine at the hotel but the wen service was really slow taking 20 minutes or more to view email. Couldn't ever get anything rose on the web. So, experience was good unless you need to do some work through the web or wanted to look anything up.

It was a nice clean place with friendly staff.

Pros: It was very clean.
Cons: Turn up the water heater!
The hot water was not hot enough. I froze in the shower and my husband who doesn't like it hot was even chilled.

Very pleasant stay

Pros: Quiet and clean
Cons: Breakfast
Location: We were there for the college game therefore great location
Our room was very clean and it was quiet. The breakfast was more kid friendly though. Other than that the fruit, bagels, coffee and juice was more adult friendly.
