“Kind of a dump”

This hotel is tired and need of an upgrade. At least the mattresses had bed bug covers...

“Wow that was loud.”

This is the LOUDEST hotel I've ever stayed in. Not only was I awakened two mornings in a row at 4:30 am accidentally by automated wake-up calls I never requested, but the wing I was in had these highway work crew guys carousing all night long. Glad I'm back home so I can get some REST.

“Adequate”

A bit of trouble when I checked in - the desk clerk didn't tell me there was no hot water even after I mentioned I was coming off a 3 day train ride and was looking forward to a shower. So rather upsetting to be all stripped down, and nothing happens from the water tap. All was fixed in 2 hours, but wished she'd let me know. Location is not downtown, but about a 15 minute walk from the train station. Rack rate is a bit high. Quiet room, nice towels.

“good value for the money”

This is a decent place for the price which is forty percent what the holiday inn across the street charges. I have stayed in both and can only say it all depends if you have something to do or are going to stay in your room all day long. If a room bug go to H inn if moving around hit this place. No bed bugs in either.

this motel is a very close to downtown. good public transportation to see the city and move you around.

“Just Okay”

This Days Inn is trying hard to be a pretty good, Holiday Inn Express style hotel. It did this by bringing in a number of modern fixtures and providing a spacious room. But the furniture in the room was old and not very clean. The bathroom was tiny. The lobby was dingy, and the hallways (especially the carpet) were dirty. It would take significant renovation to bring this hotel's standard up. If you are visiting General Electric or the surrounding area and intend to stay only a couple of nights, this Days Inn is probably ok. But if you stay longer, or are fussy about your room, then stay at the Holiday Inn across the street, or drive further out on the interstates for nice roadside hotels.

I would not recommend Schenectady as a place to stay. Better to stay along the interstate further west.

“Decent for price but nothing special”

Room was very large, but the beds were not very comfortable. It was decently clean, but the bathroom was a little dirty and there was a spot of blood behind the toilet that looked like it had been there for a long time and never cleaned. Hotel wasn't bad, but it also wasn't a great place to stay.

“Schenectady Days Inn”

Hotel was smelly and not very clean. In need of immediate updating. Overall service was good and hotel staff were very helpful and curteous. Bad neighborhood though.

“ok”

It was good for a one night stay but it was on the lower end on comfert and cleanliness. The blankts were stiff and the shower/bathroom was small. I liked that it had a microwave and refrigerator but the bed was uncomfertable. I wouldn't spend more then one day there.
