Nice hotel

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Location. Rooms were laid out nice. Dog friendly!
Cons: Needs to be updated.
Location: Lots of restaurants and college across the street is beautiful.
This a great hotel to stay one night. Close to thruway. Could be a little updated but otherwise good for what I needed. Pool is small but refreshing.

Average Hotel

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Complimentary breakfast and convenience to highways. Hotel staff was very friendly and easy to approach.
Cons: Overall upgrade of the hotel furnishings. Furniture was stinky; perhaps a good steam cleaning every several months.
Location: Convenient to downtown district and a wonderful shopping mall a short ride of the road. Immediately across form the University at Albany.
The first thing we noticed about the hotel was that the sign was not very visible from the road, you can easily miss the turn into the hotel and you can only acces the entrance to the hotel from one side of the road. Everything in our room, while functional was outdated and showing signs of wear and tare. The sitting chair in our room had a very offensive body smell, so much so, that we had to put towels down over the chair in order to sit in it. On our second day we finally had to ask a cleaning person for some fabreeze. The iron in our room was cracked and leaked water everywhere so I asked the front desk for a replacement, which they never sent so when the cleaning lady was doing the room next to ours, she was kind enough to give us the one from the other room. The positive of our stay was the complimentary breakfast and the cook, she was a delite; however, the waffle iron blew the power out several times and by the second day they just removed it all together. The hotel for the most part was clean, our only concern was with the chair in our room which folks had obviously been sitting in naked; gross. Overall, the hotel was okay for the money, convenient to downtown Albany and there was a really nice mall just up the road. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet at night. Regardless of the issues I listed earlier, the hotel was good for the money.

Stayed only one night, was in town for business. Hope they can keep it in good condition and not let it deteriorate.

Seriously Ultra Comfy Bed and Extra Clean Room

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: The bed! Wow!
Cons: Hotel staff could become more familiar with Washington Avenue. We were told to go left for pets mart, but luckily my husband doesn't listen well. Lol
Location: Wow. Easy on and off and just up the road is a shopping center with Mcdonalds, Walmart, Petsmart, etc. THIS PLACE IS A SAFE BET IF UNCERTAIN.
Really convenient location. My husband said it was the MOST comfortable bed we have stayed in and we travel regularly. I might add that he is still talking about how much he loved that bed. The in room kitchens are a nice convenience for the price. The room was spacious and incredibly clean, it would pass the white glove test. nice value. We felt safe, secure, and check in/out was quick. The hotel staff was very friendly but not good with directions but we all have google on our phones these days so oh well, (they did try to help though) but we really loved the cleanliness and comfortable accommodations. What a classy place that was pet friendly too!

Decent hotel, nice room, near university

Posted Aug 4, 2014
The room was very good, clean, and comfortable. The included breakfast might be one of the worst I've come across, but if you don't care about breakfast then you'll have no problems!

Great hotel. I'd rate as a high 3.5 start hotel.

Pros: Nice and clean. Hot breakfast was always stocked and tasty.
Cons: The TV had digital and non-digital channels with the same programming. It wasn't confusing but it would be nice to program same channels only once.
Location: The mall area was within 2 miles with a great movie theater. All kinds of restaurants available nearby.
This place was great. I had a 2 bedroom (1K 2Qn) with a sofa. This easily fit our family of 7 and was very clean. The staff was great and the breakfast was good and hot. I was pleased and better than expected since I had never heard of the CrestHill brand.

Long wait even after check in time

Posted Jul 14, 2014
We had to wait for 1 hour for our room to be ready- check in time is 3pm- room wasn't ready until close to 5. Staff seemed indifferent to our wait- even though we had 2 little ones running up and down lobby as we waited.
