The location is right in the middle of Downtown Albany and the mall, which was perfect. There is a bus stop literally in front of the hotel - could not have been more convenient. The bus comes every 10 minutes or so. Across from the hotel, is an excellent bagel and coffee restaurant, and coming from someone born in NYC the bagels were superb. The staff was very friendly, allowed us to leave our luggage there after checkout. The complimentary breakfast was also very good and hearty - all you need to begin your day. The rooms are also very nice size and the bathroom was clean and well - lit.

The room smelled of mildew and breakfast (two cold cereals, watery oatmeal, yogurt and toast) was meager.

The noise from the room above was extremely loud just from typical sounds like walking and moving a chair. I got hardly and sleep and the hotel staff would not let me move my room the next day. The breakfast provided was disappointing. The room smelled like smoke and mold.

Gets the Job DonePosted Nov 24, 2014
Pros: Centrally located. Located on the main drag through town. Plenty of places for food, gas and shopping.
Cons: The overall decor is on the tired side. But, I prefer the value pricing over an upgrade to hallway carpet and fixtures.
I found that this hotel was significantly cheaper than the newer Holiday Inn Express and Best Western nearby. I fully recommend this hotel if you get it at a value price. It is 5 minutes or less from the expressway and the regional mall and an easy 10 minute drive down one street to get to the downtown Albany/State Capitol area. And the hotel is located in a safe area of town. The hotel is more of a working man's hotel in terms of appearance. If you want to impress out of town guests or yourself, then this hotel might not be for you. But it hit all the important items on my list: value, strong shower without the pretense of a tub combo, and located next to the interstate and a safe area.

Son visiting Albany to see if he will attend.Posted Oct 28, 2014
Pros: Distance to University of Albany, plenty of restaurants within close distance.
Cons: Could be updated, absolute cleaniness if I were to bring my wife!!
Very comfortable, basic room. No noise around, very quiet at night. Directly across from the University of Albany fields, walking distance. Plenty of restaurants and shopping around. Very good price and clean.

The hotel is old and needs upgrades. The lower level rooms smell like mildew. Thankfully the wonderful staff moved me to the upper floor. The continental breakfast was lacking.

Atención y habitación fantasticas.Posted Sep 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
La habitación limpia y amplia. Quiero destacar la amabilidad de todos los trabajadores del hotel. La zona es residencial y bonita, cerca de la autopista y de un gran centro comercial.
