It was very inexpensive, which should have been my first clue. The staff was very accommodating, but the place was very shabby, and everything was in need of repair.

Dated, dirty and disgusting

Pros: Very little. The employee who brought us our sheets was very nice and helpful and the parking was very convenient. Otherwise, we were happy to leave.
Cons: The whole place really needs to be completely shut down, renovated and started over from scratch.
Location: There appear to be a number of restaurants nearby. Otherwise, it was a pretty non-descript area.
To say this place was dated would be an understatement. Amazingly, we stayed in the "newer" suite portion of the facility and yet it still looked run down. The elevator and hallways literally had trash and food on the floors for our entire stay and there was a foul odor throughout the entire place. The pool and hot tub area were filthy and it took three phone calls to the front desk to get extra towels. Our room also lacked basic amenities such as a shower curtain, shampoo and sheets and a blanket for the pull out sofa. It took several hours to get someone to respond to our requests to furnish us with these items. Had we not flagged down a helpful worker in the elevator, we probably would have never gotten the items that were missing from our room. The breakfast was awful as they served waxy apples and a greyish gruel that they tried passing off as oatmeal. The checkout process also left a lot to be desired. When we called to check out, we were told that we had to do it in person at the front desk. When I arrived, the man working at the front desk did not even look up and asked me for my room number. When I gave it to him, he simply said (still without looking up), "you're all set". He really couldn't have done that over the phone? The Days Inn corporation should be embarrassed that they still allow this place to affix the Days Inn name to the premises.

It was dirty and smelt horrible. The pool couldn't be used BC it was filthy and the shower in the room barley gave any water and didnt get warm at all. I will never stay there again. And I will not recommend it to any friends

Pros: The proximity to a big shopping mall.
Cons: The staff's appearance and better customer service, keeping the breakfast room well-stocked and keeping the rooms clean.
Location: Downtown Albany is only a four mile drive on Central Avenue.
You know you are not in a good hotel when the front desk and a customer are arguing about the cleanliness of the indoor pool and you are trying to check-in. The argument escalates to talks about calling the police and you know it's going to be a long night. The only positive about the hotel is that it's near a nice, big mall and a short, five mile drive to downtown Albany. The staff and the room live up to the old adage: You get what you pay for. Don't come to the hotel for the pool and definitely not for the continental breakfast. The one staff servicing the breakfast room was wearing a dirty shirt and did not look clean, the breakfast items were barely stocked-four slices of toast-and she was already complaining about working and cleaning up. To confirm the low expectations, I pulled the nightstand drawer to find three pieces of used chewing gum and a pack of Trident. The remote control also was not working. In summary, stay here only if you want to be economical and need a roof over your head. Otherwise, invest somewhere else.

Pros: Nice area. Felt safe.
Cons: Handicap room was tight for the wheelchair on the side of the bed. It barely fit through.
Location: Close to the Empire Plaza where we toured the next day- 6 miles right down Central Ave.
Great pool and workout room. Breakfast was delicious with omlets, oatmeal--very healthy. The Fiesta Restaurant right on the grounds was a nice surprise with super margaritas and food!!

Nothing works in the place. Got switch to three different room, they even up grade me to they newer area witch they just finished renavated. Still it was dirty and the micro wave they have don't work when needed. The best part next morning no hot water at all. Stay away endless you like to shower just all in cold water.

room had huge goopy grape jelly type stain on bedspread, floors were filthy..beds horribly uncomfortable. WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!! GROSS!!!!

Decent stay but dirty.

Floor wasn't vacuumed, marks on the wall. The heater/cooler you either had to have always on hot or on cold never just 'right'. The pool was closed the 2 days we were there. Would I stay there again? No.
