“Nice Hotel”

It was really nice for the price that I paid, when I booked the hotel they only had 1 smoking room so I requested to be switched to a non-smoking one instead if possible. When I checked in, the clerk was really nice and not only did she change the room, but upgraded it to one with a fridge and a microwave forno extra charge. The room had a slight moisty smell that faded away very uicly aftr I turned the A/C on. The room was neat and spotless. Comfortable double beds and the sheets, blankets and bespread were nice-looking if compared to some old ones that I've seen in other hotels for the same price. A continental breakfast is included but it's just the basic stuff so you might prefer to eat out instead. Still good.

“Convenient, clean and comfy”

We planned on training into NYC for a hockey game (go Rangers!) and did not want ot have to drive home after the late return train home- a good 2 hours away- therefore, we needed a close place to stay. We were impressed by the hotel's comfort and cleanliness. The proximity to the train station was perfect. We'll have to see if we can get Stanley Cup tickets or just have to wait to see you next season!

“EconoLodge - A work in progress (near Amtrak)”

THis hotel is going under renovations as a new owner is absolutely wondeful, is working hard fixing up the place. Its cheap right now, so I guess you can't except much. The outside looks rough, and they are individual rooms on the first floor spread over several buildings. The were repairing several of the roofs when we were there, so it was noisy until they were done for the day. The room was pretty rough....the bed was painful!!! It squeaked at every move, and you could feel the springs against your body. The frame was moving and tilting over, and the bedspread had a cigarette burn on it. The mattress was crushed, so the sheets were not staying on. I can't comment on the other rooms...just ours. The chair for the little table was wiggling if you shifted in the seat as if it was going to come apart right under you. It had a window that opened fully, and they have smoking rooms. They did have a refrigerator (nice size), microwave, free (24hr) coffee in the lobby (no coffee maker in the room). The alarm clock was broken...so we had to use our cellphone alarms. Again the room is cheap, the people were very nice and working hard to fix it up....but you should know what to check for in your room.

“Poor condition.”

Hair on towels and on counter in the bathroom. Bathroom walls look like they were in the middle of being redone so there was no paint on the walls. Beds not super comfortable. No resturaunts or any stores nearby.

“Maintenance a problem”

Nice people, good reasonably priced accomodations but maintenance was a problem. The room was fine with one major exception. The carpet was sticky and dirty, as if it had been cleaned with the wrong product and attracted dirt or something had spilled all over the place. I had to wear sox all the time. Yuck.

“Not Satisfied with room at all.”

Would not recommend staying in older part of hotel rooms. Hotel was supposedly booked of smoke-free rooms, so was assigned a smoking room but assured it would be "detailed". Room still smelled of smoke, toilet plugged up first night there. Bathroom sink leaked water onto floor when full. Floor in front of t.v. was always wet and smelled of mold. Shower to small to reach head without hitting walls. Bed was old and torn mattress, plus very squeaky if tossing and turning while sleeping. Last time there stayed in newer suites in back. Much larger and non-smoking. Need to confirm if assigned newer rooms or older one. Over all very dissatisfied with room.
