Great Place for Visiting Troy College

Posted Apr 15, 2015
Pros: Clean and quiet
Cons: No prefrozen eggs at breakfast, try fresh instead.
Location: RPI is an easy drive.
We stayed 2 nights. This hotel is right on Route 7 which is the main road connecting Schenectady and Troy. We were looking for an hotel that would make it easy to visit family in Schenectady but still be close to RPI. Easy drive to both. RPI drive is 15 minutes. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. A good standard hotel breakfast with scrambled eggs/sausage one day and cheese omelets (prefrozen) the next day. Free coffee in lobby. WiFi pretty reasonable in that my daughter could play online games without lag. The Route 7 diner is just down the road which offers a wide variety of foods at a great cost, including breakfast all day. Many gas stations on route 7 along with a couple of dunkin donuts. Chain restaurants are closer to the airport, but a quick drive.

Great overnight hotel

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Location: Close to airport so you may hear a few take offs starting in the earl morning.
I like that it offers 2 queen size beds rather than just 2 double. Very clean room, very comfortable mattresses, shower head offers many shower options. Has both a small fridge and a microwave which is nice for people with special dietary needs. The complementary breakfast buffet was excellent. Only draw back is that space in the room is tight if there are more than 2 of you and it smelled as if they used carpet fresh to vacuum, (which I can't stand to inhale), and the windows are non operable. We did not use the pool or fitness room but both looked clean with everything in working condition. We would definitely stay again.

Always a pleasure

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing I could think of could be improved.
Location: Location in Latham NY. Visiting in the area. Wasn't interested in nearby activities.
Room temp quickly responsive when changed. Room perks like a refrigerator and microwave are very convenient. TV channel listings very helpful. Comfy pillows and bed. The free breakfast couldn't be more comprehensive. Coffee, cocoa and tea are available 24/7 in the lobby.

Nice hotel close to the airport

Just spent a night at this hotel. It was very comfortable. The common facilities and rooms are in very good shape. The staff at the lobby and the cleaning staff were friendly and professional. The breakfast was good with good options of fruit, yogurt and warm food. A good ratio quality/price.

The Hampton was one of the better hotels I have stayed in , in Albany and I have stayed there a lot. Good breakfast, comfortable rooms, warm pool and close to the shopping on Wolf Road.

Pros: Good work out room. Staff had a list of nearby restaurants that they provided.
Cons: Most Hampton Inns will have apples or bananas available after hours. This one did not.
Room was quiet. No noise from outside. Slept very well both nights.
