High Marks All Around!Posted Feb 19, 2014
My wife & I stayed here for President's Day Wknd for some well deserved rest & shopping. This hotel was a perfect fit for us all around. The facilities were nice, newer, clean & quiet. The hotel was near lots of great family restaurants and fantastic shopping including the Crossgate Mall. The staff including (Robert the room cleaner) were extremely happy nice people! I've stayed at many hotels & would stay here again without question.

Thank you so much, not just for sharing your experience but for acknowledging Robert! Often the housekeeping team goes about their business anonymously so this was a wonderful moment at our morning meeting! We are glad we were able to offer such a wonderful stay! Pros: Full breakfast; plenty of space to sit-- complete with fireplace in a separate seating area.
Cons: I can't think of anything.
Location: Close to interstates 90 and 87; close to Crossgate Mall and plaza; Fast food nearby within walking distance; Close to SUNY Albany campus.
We had a brief stay between Christmas and New Year's. We flew in the morning, rented a car to drive to the hotel and the staff allowed us to check in early-- a big plus! Breakfast was very nice-- we thought we may not get any food by the end of the breakfast hours and there was still fresh coffee and lots of food left! I loved their attention to detail as that weekend was very icy with ice and snow. The staff were out putting chemicals by the cars so that we did not slip. They saw me coming to my car and ran over to make sure that my daughter and I were safe. Great job! Will stay there again!

Very enjoyable visitPosted Oct 20, 2013
Pros: Location, Friendly staff, Hot breakfast and cleanliness
Cons: Bigger sign to identify location on Western Ave.
Location: Mall shopping and Capital sight seeing
From the minute we walked in to the minute that we checked out the staff at this location was welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Our room and the entire hotel was spotless, there was bottled water in our room, replaced everyday and the included hot breakfast was great including the freshly made pancakes. The location was perfect. Minutes to the Crossgates Mall and downtown Albany was a short convenient ride down Western Avenue. Thanks to this Holiday Inn Express, we will definitely stay again the next time we visit Albany.

My friend and I had a very good travel experience.Posted Oct 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
When we arrived at the hotel, we were informed about the work that was going on to repair the roof. The staff was very upfront about the situation and offered us every consideration of a room. The first room I looked at was located next to a major transformer. There was a steady and continuous Humm that you could hear from inside the room. I asked the staff are different room that would be quieter and they gave us an excellent room on the third floor with no hassle. Room was neat, clean, and very comfortable. The view of the back of the hotel was very pleasant - woodsy, barbecue pits, and picnic areas. Good stuff. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and everything worked well. We did use the fold-down ironing board and it was great having a washer and dryer on the same floor. In addition, there was a little meeting area at the end of the corridor. It had a lot of windows and was a very pleasant place to relax if you wanted to meet and talk. The breakfast was very good and you could get coffee at any time. The breakfast included eggs, toast, pancakes, all of the drinks, sweet rolls, etc. It was a good setup. Location was very convenient for getting on and off the expressways. The staff gave us very good recommendations for restaurants - we were very pleased. The computer room was very accessible, had reasonably new computers, and worked very well for me. Best of all, the staff was absolutely outstanding. What more can I say?
