Nice little bar at the HotelPosted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: I liked the friendly service and free parking at the hotel
Location: There are some wonderful eateries in the Colonies area
The hotel was close to the freeway. The hotel staff placed us on the other side of the hotel away from the freeway. We appreciated her thoughtfulness. The breakfast was good in the morning. We discovered a nice patio area attached to the hotel bar. It was very nice.

Nice Location,Nice HotelPosted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: Near restaurants,interstate
Cons: Not than I can see
It was fine, uneventful, they gave us one bed at first and blamed Expedia because they said that you don't specify on how many beds the traveler requested.Other than that everything was great.

I requested a ground floor room in advance and the hotel could not accomodate us. In addition, the AC/Heat unit was incredibly loud all night and, needles to say, we could not sleep.

Updated hotel close to freeway.Posted May 21, 2014
Pros: Roomy and comfortable bed and pillows.
We stayed here because we had a new grand baby born in Mechanicville to our son and we wanted to be close but give the new parents the privacy they needed. It was a very nice stay with a tasty breakfast.

Clean, neat and reliable.Posted May 11, 2014
Pros: My big "+" was that the wakeup call was on time. So often these days I have found wake up call late or non-existant. To be woken up in time to get rea
Booked one room with a king size bed. Room was expansive. Confernece center on premisis. Front desk staff were helpful and curtious. Easy walking distance to a couple of restaurants. Pizza, bagels, subs. Not much else in the vicinity. Albany airport is only a 10 minute/ $15 cab ride away when shuttle is not running. Front desk can set up a reliable and clean taxi service the night before.

DisappointedPosted Apr 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
As frequent guests of the Holiday Inn Express we were very disappointed with the overall service, food (breakfast) and condition. We have stayed at several Holiday Inn Expresses and we have several outstanding experiences. We had asked for extra blankets and we had to remind the front desk two different times before we got it. The breakfast we found most of the items cold, under cooked and of poor quality. We were very disappointed because at the Rochester Holiday Inn Express (Jefferson Road location) we received great service and the food experience was outstanding. We are hoping the next time we stay at the Lathem Location we hope the quality is better.
