“Bed Bug Alert- Traveler Beware”

As I was getting ready for bed I was looking at the choices of the 2 double beds in my room. One of the beds did not appear to have fresh sheets so I chose the bed which did appear to have fresh, clean bedding. When I awoke the next morning I discovered over a dozen bites on both of my feet. On closer examination there were what appeared to be fleas or bed bugs at the bottom of the bed. After a very hot shower I dressed and headed out as quickly as possible. I informed the person working the desk at check-out of the problem and there was no offer to rectify the situation in any way.This stay certainly brings new meaning to the old saying "sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite"- Traveler beware!!!

Area recommendations

This hotel was located in a great area close to shopping malls, the airport and an interstate crossroads but there are many other hotel options in the area which I would encourage you to explore

Great shopping is close by with Latham Farms virtually across the street and Crossgates Mall just 3 or 4 miles down the Interstate.

“bugged by above”

the hotel is very nice but if you have someone in the room above you, be ready to be annoyed... the folks above me on this visit were very noisy- could hear them walking back and forth as if a herd of elephants and unfortunately, all night long they were up several times and woke me each time

Getting around

if you need to go east on Route 2 toward Waterveliet, exit out the back parking lot onto Old Loudon Rd rather than going out the front of the hotel onto New Loudon Rd/ Route 9 since it is one way and you cant go south to get to Route 2...

“modern”

rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. first floor is a bit noisy with stomping noises from above, doors slamming and pool across from my room however when stayed on third floor, it was very quiet. Evening front desk staff very nice and helpful. nice breakfast room.

“Very impressed”

I was very pleased with our stay at this hotel. Our room was extremely comfortable and clean. All of the staff that we encountered were very pleasant, helpful, and professional. The pool & hot tub area were very clean. Breakfast was wonderful, with a variety of foods, and the dining area was well maintained. I would definitely stay again.

“Interesting location”

A decent hotel for the price. Easy access to Albany-Troy-Schenectady but not actually in any of those cities and without the downtown traffic. Acess to Routes 7, 9 and Thruway/Northway. Easy in - easy out, good acess to Albany Airport but not in the more expensive Wolf road area.
