“Good for what it is”

Good Place to stay. You get what you pay for which is defnately good. Nice people good location. It was clean though which helps!

“Would and have stayed here again.”

My only issue with this hotel was that my wake up call was nearly 10 mins late. Good thing I had set the alarm on my phone " just in case". Otherwise, all went well !

“Albany Airport Area Accomodations”

Staff were very helpful. We had to leave for airport very early (4AM) and they already had started to put out bearkfast!

“Comfortable bed, decent breakfast”

Room pretty much met expectations. That is, it was small, but the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. There was a flat screen TV with cable, although the cable stations were analog, not digital so the picture quality was not as good as the TV was capable of. The maintenance on the property was pretty good overall, however the sink in our bathroom was badly cracked and should be replaced. Continental breakfast was typical, english muffins, bagels,fruit, cereal, yogurt, juice and coffee. The hours for the breakfast were fine, 6:30 am to 10:00 am. All in all, this was a high end budget hotel, and I would stay again.

“We liked it”

We arrived late and tired and the check in was quick and friendly. Room was comfortable. The hotel is easy on/off to the highway. We travel thru this area often and will stay again.

“A good find if you have pups”

Excellent over night stop. Allows dogs. Grounds very clean of dropping which is not true of many muchmore pricey hotels. Best mattress we have had in a long time. It was just rehabed ( maybe in April 2012) so it rooms are fresh. I am concerned they will not hold up to reg use due to very poor workmansip in the bathroom remodels etc. Now ever thing looks fairly good. Staff are very nice - great find we had ever stayed before

friendly staff. decent place and excellent value. beware of gouging taxis though. hotel may have better choice for cabs

“Genuinely friendly”

Very friendly staff. very good value for money. mostly mature and working guests - very quiet. Well placed if you have a car and business in Troy/Albany. i used local buses which do what you need when you have figured them out, also very convenient for decent shops and restaurants. Mainly it is the very capable staff that make this great.

I would not recommend the Microtel to anyone, but if they said they were going to stay there I would not particularly discourage them. The staff were pleasent; the premises showed their age; the Expedia map was misleading.
