It's an older, kept-up place that we wouldn't mind returning to. We have a pet that we travel with. The room assigned to us was quiet, clean, and nicely decorated.

“Impressed, worth the money.”

Good for a short stay, clean, personnel helpful. Breakfast perfect to start the day. Bonus microwave and refrigerator especially useful since I travelled with young children. Swimming pool available.

“Not impressed”

This is a one star hotel: no iron or ironing board, no frig, no microwave, gaudy decor, unfriendly front office. Price is best part..

“YUK!”

The room stank even though it was a 'non-smoking' room. This is a motel, not a hotel. I had to walk outside in the dark all the way around the building to get to my room; kinda scary!. The toilet was dirty, the phone was filthy. The airport shuttle only runs from 6am to 6pm.

“Not Impressed”

I wasn't expecting anything fancy when we booked a room at the Travelodge, but I was expecting a clean room. The only thing that housekeeping did was make our bed. There was still water in the coffee pot from our tea the previous night and housekeeping didn't even place a new toilet paper roll to replace the empty one. When my husband realized they had not replaced the coffee cups either, he called the front desk and was told he could come get some. The least they could do, after having failed to replace the cups, was bring us new ones. The room was old and the bed creaked with every slight movement. I'm just hoping we didn't bring home bedbugs. Judging from the cleanliness of the rest of the room, I'm not hopeful.

“Okay for the Price but Old”

The employees were very helpful and nice. I was in town to attend a conference at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany. The hotel was way out of the way and it was very expensive to take a taxi into Albany, but its probably not bad if you have a car. The hotel was inexpensive so I wasn't expecting the best. It was very old and the carpet in my room was rather disgusting. My sheets and towels were clean and so was the bathroom. Overall the place was just as expected (minus the old carpet).

“What a dump!”

I arrived at the hotel at 3pm. Desk clerk was busy removing staples from some papers and made me wait until she was done before handling my reservation. She made a call to one of the maids to see if a certain room was ready. I completed the check in and was told where my room was located. I drove to the location situated in the courtyard and found a maids cart in front of the room, the door wide open and a man coming out of the room. I asked him what was up, he said he was repairing a toilet line clogg. The maid appeared and said she was making up the room. It was a bitter cold day, the room wasn't near ready and the place was empty. This was a Tuesday. I drove back to the hotel's main desk and asked for a different rooom, was told by the desk clerk that she didn't like my "attitude". I was in town to attend a wake and funeral and needed to change into dress clothes and was assigned a room that had a clogged toilet and wasn't clean despite the place being nearly empty? I was given a different room. This place is right out of the 1950's. Small room, tiny bathroom. Acoustic suspended ceiling with recessed flourescent lighting in the room. Beat up furnishings and so so bed. Curtains would not fully close leaving light into the room. Avoid this place, it has the appearance of a motel by the hour, there are better choices in the same area at the same price. Did not meet my expectations of similar Travel Lodges that I have stayed in.
