“Not impressed”

One of the comforters was ripped and there was an area of the carpet that was soiled. The water heater broke on Sat AM and we took cold showers. The AC didn't cool on Sat PM and we were hot sleeping. The food at breakfast was good and the area was clean. The hotel was quiet.

“Largest rooms, very near the Albany Mall”

We enjoyed everything about the hotel except for the breakfast included. It was Thanksgiving, so I give them some leeway...The rooms are one of the largest if not the largest in Albany for just your average hotel room. We had a microwave and fridge, too. Room and hotel was very clean, staff very courteous. Note-we did not see any security camera system in place anywhere! But we felt safe enough. Plenty of parking available.

We booked through Expedia online for a great price and had no problems. The room requested was the room we got. Check in and out was hassle free!!! Our room was spacious and very clean even the bathroom was clean!! The location was very close to where we had to be!! Thansk for a very relaxing stay!!

“Disappointed”

I usually enjoy staying at the Wingate in Albany however on my most recent visit, I was extremely disappointed. The room was not as clean as it could have been especially the bathroom. The breakfast consisted of greasy sausage and imitation eggs. The cereal, bagels, pastry were good choices. Friendly staff, but the hotel seems to be going downhill fast. There was also an unusual smell throughout the building. I would be willing to give them one more chance, but not much more than that.

“Great Experience! Albany's best kept secret ...”

We were very pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and quality of the Wingate by Wyndham in Albany GA. We had stayed at other garden style hotels in Albany over the past several years while visiting relatives. We found a really good price for this room on Expedia and with a bit of skepticism, snapped it up! The hotel was very clean, the front desk experience was delightful. The common areas were well lit and had no odors other than clean. The hotel appeared new, but we had remembered it being there for a few years, so this must have been a recent redecorating. The room was large, had a small refrigerator and microwave, a LCD TV, and very comfortable bed. Bathroom was clean and the room temperature was easily regulated. Breakfast feature hot eggs and sausage along with the customary fruit, breads, cereals and beverages. All in all a delightful experience. Thanks guys, we will will be back!!

The only thing I can say is it was as close to perfect as a hotel stay can be, and great price to boot.

I have stayed here many times before in past and I have seen a slow decline in certain areas through years such as Bathroom cleaning needs more attention to detail such as hard water spots and small amt of hair on floor and tub. Towels were worn and shredding but I had brought my own. But Overall I still think it is a nice hotel as long as the price is right.
