“Off the beaten path”

This hotel was a little difficult to find (it is hiding behind the Longhorn Steakhouse). The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful with directions. The room was spacious and clean. We stayed on the third floor and it was nice and quiet. I would stay here again if I ever go back to Albany.

“Excellent”

We arrived at approximately 5 minutes early. The hotel was everything we expected. The staff was polite and my family enjoyed the breakfast bar. Place seems very secure and comfortable.

“Not impressed”

One of the comforters was ripped and there was an area of the carpet that was soiled. The water heater broke on Sat AM and we took cold showers. The AC didn't cool on Sat PM and we were hot sleeping. The food at breakfast was good and the area was clean. The hotel was quiet.

“Not Impressed”

Elevaor went out due to a storm, did not fix it while we there. Thought gettiting it fixed should have been a priority. Our card keys did not work - had to keep going back and forth to the desk to have keys reprogrammed. Note earlier comment - elevators not working:(

“Disappointed”

I usually enjoy staying at the Wingate in Albany however on my most recent visit, I was extremely disappointed. The room was not as clean as it could have been especially the bathroom. The breakfast consisted of greasy sausage and imitation eggs. The cereal, bagels, pastry were good choices. Friendly staff, but the hotel seems to be going downhill fast. There was also an unusual smell throughout the building. I would be willing to give them one more chance, but not much more than that.
