We stayed at the Loano Hotel Garden Lido for 10 nights in late July/early August. And we loved everything about the hotel. The place was spotless. The staff were efficient, helpful, and warm. The breakfasts were amazing. The location is perfect -- right across from the beach and at the eastern side of the old town, which is also the shopping area. I can't think of anything negative to say about the place. We had a wonderful time there.

Beautiful, well kept grounds and helpful staff. Our 7 year old loved all the different pools. We all appreciated the free shuttle into Loano town centre which is a lovely town. Great first Italian experience for our child. Hope more families from the UK get to hear about this hotel ( but not too many ) a fabulous place to stay on the beautiful Italian Riviera. Tuti Bene.

The hotel is really a restaurant with rooms. That said, the room we stayed in was in good condition and clean, but just a little small for three people. One of the positives was that we had a balcony with a really great view of the abandoned village of Balestrino (due to earthquake damage) and the valley beyond. Also, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome all through our holiday. On the down side, we happened to be staying during the village theatrical festival, which meant that the party went on in the hotel until about 2am each morning. This combined with the very high temperatures at night (no air-conditioning) and the road traffic noise did not make for a lot of sleep! On balance, we did have an enjoyable stay and would recommend this hotel. Just be aware of the negatives and enjoy the beautiful location, great views, hospitality and the food in the hotel was excellent.

Negative: Rooms good but in need of a refresh. Cleaner needs to make sure they actually mop the floor rather than seemingly bleach the dirt in.
Positive: Excellent staff - made to feel very welcome - pool was great - bar was cool - location was great - make sure you check out the caves and old town - all in all a great place for a budget stay in the Italian Riviera.
