Fantastic hotel and gardens. The food was good but not excellent, but was value for money when compared to outside competition. The room I had was excellent and I would say that the photos of the hotel reflect what you get.
My main gripe is with the hotel chamber staff. I may have got unlucky but I only had tea replaced in my cup on 3 days out of 10, on one day I had no cup, my ashtray was left for 3 days unemptied on one occasion, and on others there was the odd towel missing and not cleaning the outside veranda area. They are all minor issues but with something going amiss every day it was actually annoying. I will go back, but I think the staff although always pleasant need to pay more attention to detail. I have stayed in far inferior accommodation but always experienced attention to detail.

"What do you want. Clean, tidy and just right size."
Place was a few years old but is slowly being updated. Spotlessly clean, cleaners are great and yet totally invisible. Never saw them but they were in every day. Staff were great though they could do with sorting out a system to help with online check ins ( the current system doesn't work well)

Excellent location with private beach
Overall staff attitude is warm and friendly
Good quality food on breakfast mornings
Good spa facilities
Overall staff attitude was good, apart from staff in reception bar staff who couldn't understand English and when I ordered two drinks they charged me for one when pointed out the error that they charged me just for one, staff started arguing that why I didn't tell him before ??? Which I did ... Anyhow in end it was resolved by other staff you knew English.
Hotel has free wifi access but really really slow that would be because there are lot of people using it is what you hear when you ring reception. They need to improve connection speed bandwidth so that customers can use it flawlessly on days when the weather is not so good outside and especially when you need to print your boarding passes for your ongoing journey.
Every place as its ups and downs other then that it was a pleasant stay

The former little white fishing village of Albufeira, now densely developed beneath a sea of apartments and mid-rise blocks, is the region’s most popular resort. The pretty Old Town is wall-to-wall restaurants and bars, though some local establishments and residential areas still remain. Its picture-postcard Fisherman’s Beach, with spectacular ochre cliffs and rock stacks, remains an iconic, albeit often very crowded, Algarve sight.
