“A hidden gem of a motel, great price”
From the curb, it looks like a decently maintained motel in the midst of some of the more seedy motels along that stretch of Central / Rte. 66, but because of the surrounding you aren't sure about the whether it'll be good or not. However the motel itself has excellent service and the rooms are pretty nice and clean. I booked my brother a room well in advance for balloon fiesta kickoff weekend and it was an excellent decision. He said he'll remember the motel when it comes time to visit again. I've read about how others have had hteir cars broken into in the parking lot and I'm not surprised. Although it is in the heart of an area that is being gentrified it is still seedy. That's the only downside to this place.
“Convenient in Albuquerque”
We stayed two nights in this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was more than adequate (2 TV's). The second TV was in a small adjoining room with table and connections for lap tops. The bed was a king size and very comfortable. The only negative I felt was the size and number of towels. The towels were very thin and there were only two of them for the two of us. The breakfast is only a light continental breakfast and we chose not to eat there. Just a short distance from the hotel there was a nice cafe with a very reasonable rate for breakfast. We appreciated the opportunity to eat there.
“Great hotel!”
Everything was great! Very clean establishment with friendly staff. Definitely will return to this hotel!!
“Good value for money in Downtown Albuquerque”
Very clean hotel, good location in downtown area on Route 66.
“Looks can be deceiving”
When I first pulled into the parking lot I was concerned I had made a bad choice. But once I checked in and got into my room things were fine. The room was clean and had been recently updated. The only problem I had was "technical difficulties" with the TV/Cable box. Once the owner came up (with family in tow) and got things hooked up to the local channels things were fine. The outside of the building has not been updated like the inside but don't let that be the deciding factor. The price was great even during a major event and the location was close to everything.
“Good Stay in Albuquerque, NM.”
Great time staying at the hotel. Very close to downtown and Nob Hill.
“Nice hotel”
Nice hotel, good value for the money. Although its located in busy street our room was quiet.
“Great overnight”
Was only passing through ABQ, but this place fit the bill just fine. Comfy bed, nice bathroom, decent munchies to get going in the morning.
“Looks are deceiving”
Rooms have been refurbished inside, so don't go by the outside looks. Could use a larger parking lot. 1 thing was the maid 1st thing in the morning knocking asking for towels. Otherwise, had a nice stay.
“Good value for the money”
The hotel was cheap enough for what I got. The bed linens could have been more fresh. Only con I have is the exit number is not listed on directions and I had to call hotel twice for details.
