“great visit”
This is an excellent Courtyard property. Our family of 4 had ample space in a 2 queen room. The front desk, restaurant, and bar staff were all very accomodating. We had a large group for breakfast in the restaurant and our waitress could not have been better. The front desk had extra towels delivered to our room in just a few minutes. The courtyard was beautiful, and a great spot to have coffee and read the paper (free NY Times, USA Today, and 50 cent local ABQ paper!) The lap pool and workout facility were well equipped and clean. The "cucumber water" and lemonaid in the lobby were a nice refreshing touch. It is well located just off Paseo del Norte and I-25, convenient to downtown, old town, Sandia Peak, and a head start toward Santa Fe. We were in town for a wedding with other out of town family and friends, we stayed 3 nights, and we could not have chosen a better place to stay.
“Usually an excellent stay-not this time.”
My husband and I stay at this hotel alot...both for business or pleasure. The hot tub was great. I was very disappointed that the exercise room was completely out of order. A makeshift workout area should have been set up or day passes to a local gym. When I am traveling for work I look forward to long workouts as I usually don't have my kids with me. The beds are very comfy, and the courtyard is pleasant. I am just very surprised they did not accomodate or warn online that their exercise room was out of order.
“Comfortable and affordable”
Our room was comfortable and clean. The staff was responsive. The only down side was the internet required a sign on confirmation so my hubby wasn't able to use his Xbox online, which was the plan while I was in class. That's not typically something we think about when booking a hotel. Overall, a very nice hotel. It is a little hard to spot from the highway.
“If Albuquerque is on your route this is a very good stop.”
Very decent hotel for an overnight stay
“Had a great stay”
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I will gladly return to this hotel on my next visit to Albuquerque.
“Look forward to staying in this hotel”
When I go to Albuquerque, I stay at the Courtyard by Marriott in Journal Center. It's extremely clean, quiet, and employees are wonderful.
“snide hotel receptionist”
At this hotel I paid the rate to enjoy breakfast in the morning. The lady at the front said that they no longer offer that and I have the package with No breakfast. I told her what I had ordered and paid for and she was very unaccomidating and acted as if she could care less. I have worked in the service and hospitality industry for many years and am familiar with employees of this character. This interaction left a looming presence over my stay with the hotel. The lady in the morning did her best to apologize and cover up for her coworkers attitude and professionalism.
