Friendly hotel close the airport.

Posted Nov 25, 2014
Pros: Sherlyn!
Sherlyn was a one-of-a-kind host to us from the moment we walked in. She greeted us and it was very genuine. She even made sure to call us at our room to give us another welcome and see if needed anything else. It didn't end there because continental breakfast in the morning was filled with so much hospitality because of her. She was constantly checking up on all the tables offering us seconds so we wouldn't have to get up. She really went above and beyond with what she did and made us feel so welcome. Thank you! Plus, the decorations in the hotel are so sweet and it goes along with the sweetness that is Sherlyn.

Pleasantly Surprised

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: Great staff and well appointed.
After our previous nights encounter with a terrible hotel, we were pleasantly surprised at how nice this Days Inn was. It was a little off our travel route, but well worth the extra time it took to get there.

Conference weekend

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Excellent front desk staff.
Cons: The AC/Heat takes about a minute to turn on after buttons are pushed. A note on the HVAC unit in the room would help.
Location: Hotel is close enough to Central Ave, where there are many restaurant choices. Tractor Brewery was a great place to try a flight of microbrews.
My husband and I went to Albuquerque for a conference weekend. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised at how warm the hotel staff was. We appreciated the evening soup offering, the facilities and the location of the hotel. They made excellent suggestions for where to go around Albuquerque and printed out maps for us. The hot breakfast was perfect for 3 mornings. During the first night, we had an unexpected personal health issue come up while staying in the room. The hotel staff went far beyond what they were required to do to keep us comfortable. They were supportive, non-judgmental, and friendly while also staying professional. Their kindness and respect was very much appreciated. The other guests also looked very comfortable and relaxed. One of the best hotels we've stayed in-- not for pomp and fanciness, but for attitude and service.

Hotel staff are wonderful!

Posted Nov 6, 2014
Pros: The happy friendly staff
Cons: Expand breakfast to include bacon
Location: UNM sports facilities are very close, basketball arena, football stadium and baseball stadium where a minor league plays (The Isotopes)
Stayed weekday overnight on business trip. All the staff were happy, friendly, and helpful! Days Inn is a pretty standard economy chain hotel and was just as expected, to borrow from Tom Bodett, a clean comfortable room at a good price. But the staff made the stay great, housekeeper had a big smile and greeted me in the hallway, the gal at the front desk was the nicest lady. I asked where the lobby bathroom was and the maintenance guy jumped and said 'follow me.' Very nice people all around.

Great hotel near the airport.

Pros: The friendly staff and service
Location: Very close to the airport
My husband and I stayed here the night before our flight. The staff did everything possible to make our stay a pleasure. They shuttled us to and from the airport. When we return, they even gave us a coffee to help to stay awake for our drive. Yes, we will return our next time in Albuquerque.

In Albuquerque for a meering

Posted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: It was like staying at a family owned hotel where the family extended their hospitality warmly to each guest. The hotel is also pet friendly.
Cons: It would be nice to have half and half, and tea in the in-room coffee service.
Location: I spent most of my time at UNM but did get out to Old Town, which was fun. We also ate at the Artichoke Cafee, which was delicious.
I recently traveled to Albuquerque for the first time -to attend a meeting. The conference hotel would not extend the conference rate at the time I needed to make reservations. It was fortunate. I found the Day's Inn on Expedia at a better rate. I could not have asked for a better experience. The hotel shuttle picked me up at the airport and check-in was a breeze. The staff was consistently cheerful and friendly. They were always willing to go out of their way to be certain that I was comfortable and enjoying my stay. My room was spacious, comfortable and clean. A simple breakfast was served every morning and the coffee was always ready early. In the evening soup and bread was served. It was a lifesaver the first evening. From the first evening, 'til the shuttle took me back to the airport four days later, I was very pleased with the service.

Convenient to the airport, great staff!

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: Location, evening soup, upgrade to a bigger room.
Cons: Two towels had hair stuck to them. The bed had some strange plasticky liner that caused static. Inspect towels, remove plastic liner for more comfort.
Crashed for the night before an early flight, so couldn't take advantage of all the offerings of the hotel, such as breakfast and pool/hottub, airport shuttle (we had a rental car). Great location to access the airport. Staff was super nice.

hotel close to the airport

Staff were extremely accommodating. The breakfast included hard boiled eggs, little omelets, a pot of oatmeal, and cut fresh fruit. Shuttles are arranged when you want them, not on a set schedule. All in all, it was a good experience.
