Beautiful Hotel that has Gone DownhillPosted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: pool and restaurant
Location: shopping, dining
We used to stay here every year, but abut a year ago was our last time. It used to be a wonderful experience, but the manager in charge was very rude to myself and other guests last year. She had several customers upset due to very poor management and was clearly rude to the other employees, who were doing a much better job at the front desk. We could hear her yelling at them in the side room behind the desk. The towels were not available by the pool to dry off, wait staff was not timely bringing food and drink to the pool area and the rooms were not as kept up. This was all in 2014. I am sorry to say that what was once a loved hotel we can no longer recommend. I hope they have hired new management in the past year.

We loved the beautiful old lobby and public spaces. The hotel has a great location and the staff was very friendly and welcoming, great atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable, but could have been bigger.

Pros: Great staff.
Cons: Fire alarm on floor 8 in a.m. was troubling, but all turned out ok.
Location: Walking distance to Old Town shops.
Was surprised that it is not a small hotel but a multi storied one near Old Town.

Pros: Location, facility, restaurant

Hotel was easy to find, close to freeway, very nice facilities. I liked the fact it was super close to old albuquerque, ideally located for a walk!

Nice hotel within walking distance of Old Town. Hotel staff helpful and friendly. Bed was firm and very comfortable, and room clean. Nice restaurant in hotel. Would recommend to anyone.

Close to Old TownPosted Feb 20, 2015
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful. Walking distance to Old Town. Some nice touches like fresh cookies and lemon/cucumber water at check-in.
Cons: Only two elevators for eleven floors. When full or close to capacity took ages to get an elevator to the 11th floor or back down.
Location: Very short walk to Old Town. Close to Zoo/Aquarium/Botanical gardens. Close to Natural History Museum.
There was a DECA convention going on all the days we were there so extremely crowded with well behaved but noisy teenagers. Main lobby looked like it might have interesting architecture and be pleasant if it were not so loud and crowded with boisterous teenagers. (Just passed through as quickly as possible each time to get out of the mayhem so didn't get to enjoy.) Pool and garden area closed for season but looked like they might be nice.

Disappointed with the roomPosted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: The view from the seventh floor
Cons: New TV, new more comfortable bed and put a fridge in the rooms.
Location: Near old town
Old TV with fuzzy picture. The mattress was old and uncomfortable. There was not a fridge in the room. The only thing saving our Valentine's Day was the great views.

Beautiful hotelPosted Feb 10, 2015
This hotel reminded me of a resort. The foyer was amazing. We were driving across the US and were going to visit Old Town, which is a five minute walk from the hotel, but the hotel and restaurant were so nice we never left. We never had to wait for the elevator, the restaurant food (Mexican) was excellent and the room had a spectacular view of town. The only area that I noted needed improvement was with the hot tub - it has very few jets. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
