Good Hotel in convenient locationPosted Nov 28, 2013
Pros: Proximity to old town , museums, Interstate, staff, restaurant, lobby, rooms.
Cons: Nothing particular
Location: 5 minutes walk to Old Town and Museum of Natural History and Art Museum, very close to I-40 and 5 minute drive to the Pueblo Cultural Center.
Rooms are very clean and of appropriate size, staff very helpful and friendly, Restaurant very good (Mexican Food). Had no problems with sleep quality, AC and Heat worked fine with AC not being to noisy.Rooms to the South are overlooking the Old Town.

Great AreaPosted Nov 1, 2013
Pros: Location, view, cleanliness
Cons: The process of checking in guests who have pre-paid with Expedia.
Location: Old Town is great for shops and eating. The restaurant downstairs in the hotel was delicious. There is also a great winery across the street.
We would stay here again. We only stayed one night but it was nice. Our only negative thing to say is one woman on the hotel staff got confused about us having pre-paid through Expedia and treated us like criminals until she realized her mistak; otherwise everything was good. Apparently there's some kind of weird computer glitch if you pay with Expedia so tell them when you check in, otherwise they may de-activate your keys! The men on staff were great and helped us figure out where to go to eat and drink. The room itself had a great balcony and view and was very clean. It is near Old Town, which is very charming.

Old Town choice hotelPosted Oct 24, 2013
Comfortable, clean, delicious food, and centrally located next to Old Town shopping & restaurants. Perfect if you have an event planned as well- I even saw salsa lessons! Affordable and very New Mexico style- not generic at all. For business travelers the internet access was free and worked well and the hotel is close to the freeways.

Good, but not GreatPosted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: Location, close to Old Town
Cons: Mattresses in the rooms
Location: Great museums, Great Eating, lots to do nearby, if you have the time, take the ghost tour in old town to hear some great stories.
I expected a little bit more considering the cost of our stay, granted it was during the balloon fiesta and we did not book until about four days before our arrival. The staff was very good, especially Josh! The hotel shows its age a bit. It has been remodeled, but you can still tell it is an older building, the mattresses in the rooms definitly need to be upgraded. I did enjoy the location of the hotel, right in Old Town, but was put off by the number of panhandlers who you come across in the parking lot.

Reasonable hotel, close to Old TownPosted Oct 20, 2013
Pros: Close to Old Town
Cons: The rooms seemed a little tired and quite cramped.
Location: Within walking distance of the Old Town. There are a couple of great old diners on Route 66 in the main part of town. I strongly recommend Lindy's.
The hotel is nothing special. It's possible that it has good views over-looking the old town and the city but our room faced the other direction. It's not a pretty part of town but it is within walking distance of the Old Town, which is quaint. There are a couple of great old diners on Route 66 in the main part of town. I strongly recommend Lindy's, reputedly the oldest diner on Route 66. The atmosphere is great and the staff very friendly. See if you can recognise all the celebs in the photos on the walls.

Special room for discounted rate?Posted Oct 10, 2013
The hotel was lovely, grand, in a nice part of town. The front desk was very friendly. The room had a fantastic view of the hot air balloons. The problems with the room itself: 1. Television was outdated and had terrible reception. Not one channel cam in clearly. 2. Heater was broken. We thought we could live with it, but it got colder and colder so we finally called and maintenance was sent up. He mentioned that it had had troubles in the past. He fiddled with it and got it working enough to pollute the whole room, as it had not been on all year I am sure. He could not get it to stay on, and it was almost midnight, so I asked for some extra blankets and told him he could go. The front desk did agree to free breakfast, but only for one of us. 3. The air from the bathroom vent was so loud we could not have the door open, perhaps because we were on the top floor. Given the rest of the premises and the top notch staff, I have to believe the full price rooms have flat screens and are functioning perfectly.
