Rooms

Blissful sleep is easily the first priority when choosing where to stay while you are away from home. Keenly aware of this desire, the room designers for the Hotel Andaluz have spared no expense in providing the most luxurious bed packages in the hotel industry today. The sheets and pillow cases are made by the Italian company, Frette, which most people consider to be the world’s finest manufacturer of bed linens. Typically reserved for the premier suites of five star hotels, we have chosen pillows and comforters made of northern Canadian white goose down. Your bottom pillow is medium firm and the top pillow is medium soft, but if you prefer something else, we have a pillow concierge on staff whose desire and purpose is to find the pillow that will enable you to drift off into the perfect night's sleep. Each mattress was custom made for us in the United States and the head boards are fashioned with inset lighting to allow you to see into the night, if you so desire. Each room also features a fold-out couch to accommodate any extra sleeping room you might need.At the foot of each bed is a weighted piece of the finest leather for your convenience in unpacking your luggage. This will be removed by our housekeeping staff each evening, when you request our turn-down service.Wrap yourself in one of our exquisitely tailored robes and slippers, as you step into the sophisticated style of your bathroom. An extension of our environmentally conservative efforts, each bathroom is equipped with: a water system that combines oxygen with the water’s output to immerse you in a waterfall-like experience while actually conserving our most precious resource; dual-flush toilets that allow you to choose the necessary amount of water used; and, of course, maintaining the comfort brought to you by our state of the air cooling/heating system. We realize that you will be easily seduced into a complete escape from reality by our rooms, but recognize that our guests are players into today's twenty-first century's scene and crave the comforts of the latest technologies. To this end, we offer: LCD HD flat screens placed on swivel bases that allow you to view them from wherever you choose to sit in your room and are compatible for interfacing with your laptop, iHome systems, and contemporary fashioned work spaces that have desks with elegantly hidden outlets for all of your personal equipments' charging needs.

“A culturally rich and comfortable boutique hotel”

Hotel Andaluz was a great experience. I stayed in a suite and it was gorgeous. The room decor was modern but didn't lack the expected "adobe" influence. The staff was very helpful and did their jobs with enthusiasm day and night. They did lack a bit of direction on local eateries, but once I asked enough of the staff I got the low down. The hotel restaurant Lucia was passible. Over all it was far less than staying at the Hyatt with the "independent boutique" ambience that other chain hotels can't duplicate. I would definitely stay again.

Dining
If you like diner food Grandma's K & I Diner is not to be missed. It was featured on Man vs. Food. Order a 1/4 Travis and you will still be full before you finish and he was one of the best mexican meals I have ever had. Cervantes near the airport was also excellent, very fresh, "New Mexican" cuisine. If you order the Margarita for two make sure you're staying awhile. Very reasonable prices.

“Andaluz New Mexico”

walking into the room i noticed right away the contempoary design which i liked since the exterior of the hotel held up to its historic value. The bed was comfortable the bathroom roomy with his and hers sinks and the shower was nice and big also. There was a desk and coffee table as well as an ottoman. The only compliants i have was the parking situation which if not validated the guest would have to pay every morning once starting their day, There was not matteress on the pull out bed and I did not recieve my morning wake up call at check and there was also the UNEXPECTED FEE of parking services, which im still baffelled by. All together beautiful hotel outside and in parking Not so great but great location to walk around and take in DownTown Alberquerque

Area recommendations
Downtown Alberquerque has all you need with less than a five minute cab ride to museums, parks and university. Great location for New Mexican food (i.e. I finally knwo what a sopapilla is get them stuff heads up) and night life as well as local artist and galleries.
Other
have to stop by CASA to party and also 1 Up and for food Liddy's which everyone has gone to or goes to still (i.e. RIP Dennis Hopper, Jeff Bridges "The DUDE" and Christian Slater)

“Unique hotel in downtown ABQ”

This and the Hyatt Reqency in ABQ are both fabulous hotels. I have stayed at each approximately a dozen times. Of the two, Andaluz has more character and caters more to the leisure traveler. Hyatt is more business oriented. However the staff at both are great.

“I love the location and the restaurant was scrumptious.”

I'm in love with the beds and the layout of the room I stayed in. The bathroom was very modern and all the "stuff" is still new. Some idiot smoked in the room B4 but I ignored it and enjoyed my uninterrupted view of the Sandia Mountains and the ballon parade grounds. The party on the balcony was rocking but not so noisy that I couldn't sleep and I enjoyed the ease of access to Old Town and the downtown theatres. Way 2 Go Alburquerque! Green is Good!

Area recommendations
ALWAYS take the Sandia Tram ride or travel up to the mountains when visiting from lower altitude states...your headache and woosy feelings won't be so severe.

“Great stay.”

First time that I stayed here and out of the numerous Hotels I have stayed at in New Mexico this is by far the best. Everything went smooth. My only issue was the Valet on Saturday when I was leaving wasn't very helpful. But a minor irratation overall. I will make this my standard hotel to stay at from now on. Thanks

“First class all the way”

The Analuuz was the first hotel built by Conrad Hilton and passed through many hands until it's most recent $30,000,000 restoration. I make a habit of staying in historic hotels, and this is truly one of the best. Everything was faultless. I highly recommend the hotel restaurant Lucia.

Area recommendations
Historic old town (less than a mile away) and the area immediately around the hotel itself (downtown).
